Christy's new CD, Burning Times is out now, it contains a beautiful version of Dylan's Lonesome Death of Hattie Caroll.
It is an excellent CD, well worth the listen
To listen to a couple of clips go to Christy's website

Christy's recent hand surgery went well, and he will be touring soon. Anyone going to see Christy in Cardiff on May 7th fancy having a meet-up before the concert for a meal or anything?

A meet-up there shall surely be. I'll have a word with some friends at border control to make sure you get through without too much hassle Ali.

Great, Linda! Will you two also be able to arrive in Cardiff a little early for a meet-up beforehand? Which pub do you reckon, Rob?

The Duke of Wellington. It's about 30 seconds walk from St. David's hall, just across the road. It does a thriving business in the day time, hardly any in the evenings and is deeply unpopular with the young people of Cardiff; should be ideal. Just suggest a time and I'll be there 15 minutes earlier.
Anyone going to Billy Bragg in Cardiff on the 30th April?

Hi Rob,
Pub sounds ideal, great. Concert starts at 8, meet at 6?

Does the Duke of Wellington do food? As it's a Sunday, we shall probably be able to get there early. In fact, if Glamorgan are at home, we shall probably have an afternoon at the cricket

Hi Linda,
The Duke of wellingtons (now reinvented as plain "Wellington's") does indeed do food. From 12 noon to 6pm on Sundays.

Should we meet up about 4pm and have a meal together?????????? What do you think Guys?

Food at four sounds fine to me, Ali. I guess it makes sense for those of you coming from further away to arrive early. 4pm Rob? Linda?
I wonder whether anyone else could make the pre-concert meet-up? JTS and Wendy, for example?
See you all soon,
Diane

I recall Christy Moore from the "Sandy Bell's" days; years before Planxty and Moving Hearts. I also met his sister (she was a student in Edinburgh, and, by coincidence, so was I

).
Let's know how the concert goes: none of yer biased Republican rhetoric, unless absolutely necessary
