Can I just say that I have a soft spot for all of the members of this forum (a peat bog off Ireland  ).

In the short time I have been coming here I have come to find you all quite endearing each with thier own traits cloying pedantic amusing irritating picky encouraging bolsy etc and I am pleased this site is here.

It is a bit like the Addams family as opposed to the Waltons but I can honestly say you are all very nice people.

I'm sorry don't know what what happened there I came over all human

I have added a poll for fun. Glaring error I have not listed Jarkko as the site would not be here without him and I consider him to be "top dog". No arguments on that one :D

There should have been ANOTHER voting option but it didn't come out. You choose who you want.

I have voted for Partisan because he has had me laughing for months

That is very sweet of you. It seems churlish of me to vote for myself, so i think i shall have to decline. For now at least.

Peter I would have thought the pesticide would have done that - or the greenfly.

I chose partisan because he always makes me laugh. He's not always pleasant but he's always entertaining.

Out of these choices George has my vote, his constant poetry gets annoying at times, but he can take a licking and come up ticking. He says no mean of no one except in defense of himself, his good out weighs his bad. Partisan, just too mean :) Lizzytysh is a good gal but too overwhelming, Andrew on the other hand almost got the vote. Actually my choice would be Tom he knows an awful lot about our man LC and is not mean spirited, and has been with the board forever. :)

There is only one person who qualifies as Forum Person of the Year. It's Lizzytysh, hands down. No one else even comes close. This forum would be nothing without her. Think about it. The reverent devotion, the hushed contemplations, the fiery defenses, the hyperventilating attacks, the confusing logic, the thunderous pronouncements, and the ecstatic utterances. The glorying in all things Leonard.

Consider just this one minor example:
"My high praises have preceded this site (after aproximating the math) by a quarter of a century. My high praises have often fallen on deaf ears. My high praises still fall on some deaf ears. My high praises will continue until my death, when my own ears shall be deaf."
I almost wept with enjoyment when I read this one. You see, it not just the concluding, biblical cadences of her prose in this paragraph that is so enchanting. It's that she has, in her own inimitable way, combined these rapturous musings with a depiction of a woman shaving off a few years "after aproximating the math".

It is just this kind of tyshism that keeps me coming back to the forum.

I'm sorry, but the other contenders efforts, whatever their merits, can't even begin to measure up to Lizzy's. So I'm voting for her. Long may she post.

Hi, everyone,

I'm probabaly not qualified to vote since I am so new to this site. There are many who deserve this award. But I think Kush would be a good choice. He always seems to be sincere in his remarks without trying to score points off of anyone. Anyway, that my 2 cents.

Well it would n't let me specify but as fond as I am of Lizzy its got to be Tom for me. I have a soft spot for Linda and Partisan as well. So really I'd like to vote for lots of people. It goes without saying that Jarrkko is obviously the best just in case he's feeling depressed and having to play a Cohen cd.

As I really love my feet, I vote for myself
