sooo, have you seen it?it's online at his official site. what do you think about it? I think it does the song and LC justice. he seems relaxed, carrying his whole life not as a burden but more as a gift. a fitting video for a very powerful song.

Wow! Thanks Painkillersinaction, very well done this video. Bravo! I liked it at first glance, but was a little annoyed at the very first by the jamesbondish-femaleshapeonthecircle/target but no. At second tought, it seems to me more as a mirror and or a window (two things dear to Leonard Cohen and that are in many songs and poems along with women) wich gives to see a playfull image as the image of a side of the song itself, is a great symbol and way to show the song. All the colors and the images are purely delightful! Wow again. I give a wow wow to this video.

It's a SPOOF. It's really funny. He's making fun of the "deepness" of it all.

It gets semi serious at the end and is sort of sad.

I saw it on local TV station on Saturday, I was overwhelmed - I came in when LC danced with Anjani... Sadly, according to Croatian Sony BMG, it will not be aired on nation TV because it doesn't fit into their commercial politics - namely, every video must be accompanied by Realtone / Poliphone melody for cellar phones, and Croatian mobile operators concluded that nobody would buy Leonard Cohen's Because Of for his/her phone

I know at least ten people who would buy it.

God! there's such a policy?
this is insane! in a few years all albums will have to be approved by the mobile operators for their ringtoneability!

They say that more than 6o% of musical industry's money is now made by selling the melodies for cellar phones

the world has gone mad years ago. we just can't tell how much yet!

Back to LC, the fact is that in January the same mobile operator, who now supports TV chart, had The Letters very high on its radio charts (which they support for leading national music radio). The Letters were on #12, and they needed video... Because Of, although released for radio stations, didn't get any air time yet ~ you could suggets that LC simply made wrong choice. I'd say that also, if I haven't see this video, and it works perfectly on TV - you became somehow moved, as you were with In My Secret Life.
And really, I think that refrain "Look at my Leonard, Look at me Leonard, one, last, tiiime" would work perfectly on cellar phone

I only just took a look at the video, is my imagination or can you here a dog barking now and again during the first half, and I distinctly heard someone laughing towards the end Great vid.
