Memorial Box Set re-scheduled to 2021

Friends,

We are sorry to report that due to production issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Montreal Leonard Cohen Memorial Events Box Set can't be guaranteed for delivery by the holiday season. Consequently, refunds are being issued to those people who purchased the Box Set. The refund will be issued to your credit card and may take several business days to appear. We know you are as disappointed as we are.

We are told that the Foundation is planning to relaunch the Box Set with ample time in 2021. If you would like to be notified when the Box Set becomes available for purchase again, subscribe to the mailing list on UHPF's website: https://unifiedheartproductionsfoundation.org/ .

If you ordered a hand-signed Artist Print, these are still expected to ship in early November 2020.

We were looking forward to the release of the Box Set and are disappointed that COVID-19 has interfered in our lives and our pleasures once again. Hopefully, next year will bring better times and a return to normal for us all.

That’s a shame, but these are complicated times.

Do we know when in 2021 it is likely to be released? I wouldn’t have minded hanging on a bit longer for it to come, but maybe the delay is significant.

Also, will we get the priority discount code again on this group when the time comes to reorder?

I’m sure the set will be worth the wait when it finally arrives. Thanks for keeping us all informed.

I noticed a pending transaction for the refund on my credit card statement online but then it dissapeared . Did anyone else notice this

There is still no sign of my refund yet, even though I had an e-mail more than a week ago telling me that the refund had been processed.

I am not impressed.

I asked the project management today, and they told us:
The refunds are being processed and should be credited to all buyers' accounts over the next few days. We are in regular contact with the payment processor to make sure that the refunds are processed promptly and completely.

I am wondering what passes for “the next few days” in Unified Heart Productions land. Another week has passed since project management gave Jarkko this assurance and still no refund despite an e-mail on 2 September informing me “you have received a refund”. I haven’t.

I am going to take a bath on this fiasco as it is with credit card currency exchange fees and adverse exchange rate movements. To have to wait so long for it and have to chase just adds insult to injury and I am getting very annoyed and upset by it. I am sick and tired of having to check my account on a daily basis.

One further thought: I do wish they had given us the option of rolling orders over to 2021 instead of automatically refunding (or not as it turned out). I would certainly have done that to avoid the aforementioned fees and exchange rate problems. I wasn’t bothered about having the box before the holiday season in any case and Christmas (or insert your holiday) as we know it is most likely cancelled this year with a resurgence of coronavirus cases across the globe.
