Brooklin, Maine
Don't write it in a letter
Don't tell me on the phone
Don't say you feel that way for me
While I sit here all alone
You say you need a break
You say you felt let down
My bank account is dwindling
You say it's time to move along
Here is the man who loved you
I placed each and every stone
I gave my all for you
Now you can call heaven your home
As I'm abandoned sitting on his throne
Nine hundred miles away from you
Writing this here g_d damn poem
Milky Way placed above me
The loons singing their song
A box of ashes labeled "Gullivor"...
Tucked under my wounded arm
You see your mansion is to small for me
It can't contain all of G_d's love
His milky arm shining above me
Resting curled up in his palm
As I sit here in Brooklin, Maine
Don't write it in a letter
Don't tell me on the phone
Don't say you feel that way for me
While I sit here all alone
You say you need a break
You say you felt let down
My bank account is dwindling
You say it's time to move along
Here is the man who loved you
I placed each and every stone
I gave my all for you
Now you can call heaven your home
As I'm abandoned sitting on his throne
