Good morning Cohen forum,
I am studying "Book of Mercy" and I am hoping to find some discussion and critique. Do you have a link?

Hi Terry-Lynn
Years ago, Doron (aka DBCohen) started a bunch of seperate threads to discuss the Book of Mercy. I didn't follow the threads at the time, but always wanted to bundle them again to read one day. Your question has speeded up my idea, so here are all the threads listed below:

Don't laugh but it is 50 shades of grey! I'm not freak about all that bdsm stuff, I just want to understand why there was so much hype!

"The Genius of Birds" by Jennifer Ackerman
A fascinating account on the splendid cognitive abilities of birds.

Maarten,
Thank you for your effort of posting these threads. I am planning a critique on "Hallelujah" and these will be of help. So, it looks like a bit of study ahead to keep me busy -- ier. Of course, my take is the Hallelujah is broken in the sense of being in the presence of "G-d" as supported with Cohen's last line in Book of Mercy. It is of interest that lyrics differ from the poem, also, and with some verses omitted on publication and I wonder if anyone has tracked these differences.

So what is your opinion?
As I know, it is a fanfiction inspired by Twilight..

Judging by the comments and reviews on Fifty Shades of Grey, you're probably going to jump on me too, thinking, well, here's another freak. But I'm a normal, normal girl, without any kind of psychiatric disorders. And I don't see anything against these books. I don't see anything immoral in them. Every creation has its admirer. For example after reading this book I wanted to buy a leather collar bdsm. This book had an impact on me. I have a very strong increase in desire sexually. I had never experienced such a rush of energy. My husband was IN SHOCK. In a very pleasant shock. Told me that he was very happy about the impact of the book and was even ready to start reading it himself.

I agree with you. No matter how much the book was scolded, it still firmly entered our culture and influenced us. I am sure that you're normal and I don't never judge people
