good to see you cate! no need to be alarmed, though. i don't doubt that abraham had mental issues, but like much in the bible there is no evidence that the story was anything other than bullshit. below is another example

I still haven't destroyed my "deep in the desert" records...but I certainly learned I was living for nothing during those lost years. I think it was our first interaction around 1999 G? It's definitely been a minute. It's so good to see you posting sketches and interacting in this gallery. Thanks for all you do in keeping this place alive.

yes, we have been acquainted for a long time. concerning 'keeping this place alive', there might be some truth in that - but others (including yourself), make equally valuable contributions. thanks for the photos you posted. abby is right, you do look fantastic!

One can find a lot of art in nature, including abstract art: here is a photo I took on the weekend, of algae swirling around in a pond on a windy day. It was quite enjoyable watching the different shapes come and go in the water. I am constantly awestruck by the bountiful beauty found in nature!

I like the colours in your latest series!

Here's another photo of one of my local birds, quite a striking one, a blue jay. I took the photo through a window, and the bird was splashing about in my bird bath, thus it is a bit blurry. I did open the door to try to get a clear shot, but the bird was not cooperative and flew away before I could do so!

interesting. not everyone would have been captivated by this swirling algae. you have eyes that are more open than the average person. yes, definitely abstract art!

thanks. those pics take more effort than the monochrome ones. the 'joan of arc' pic was posted only after considerable hesitation.

that is a good photo, beautiful little blue jay, doesn't need to be crystal clear. 'blurry' is not always a negative adjective; it actually helped make 'blonde on blonde' an iconic album cover. it also reminds one of the superb 2021 documentary 'the world's a little blurry'.

Just as well -- sometimes I feel rather blurry, as does life itself! Clarity can seem desirable, and I sometimes seek it, but sometimes (often? always?) it simply cannot be achieved: perhaps clarity is nothing but an illusion, a folly, an unobtainable goal. If one can recognise and accept the inherent lack of clarity in most things (all things?) and embrace the blurriness, I think that it can be quite liberating, and may even lead to a deep feeling of tranquillity.
