That's a great achievement for Leonard :D - considering who else is on the list. 8)

Mind you, the video footage I saw of that 'Hallelujah' performance captured an ecstasy and crowd camaraderie that is hard to imagine being surpassed. ;-)

Cheers,
Andrew :)

That's absolutely amazing .
There's no point in revisiting old disappointments but brings back the mystery of why at least some of Leonard's set wasn't televised on the BBC when virtually all pyramid stage headliners are .
There is extensive coverage of Glastonbury 2014 across the BBC- tv and radio - from this thursday. :D
of course needless to say wish leonard was playing again - there or anywhere !

The Daily Telegraph always give Leonard good reviews...

"What keeps the thousands coming back, myself included, is the sensation that seeing Cohen live is like going to see a finished masterpiece by an Old Master. His three-hour sets are the Sistine Chapel ceiling of live performance: their exquisite beauty renders you silent, sometimes tearful but always grateful to have been able to experience such radiance and majesty."

From Leonard Cohen, O2 Arena, review by Bernadette McNulty. The Telegraph: June 23, 2013

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble but do remember, this is one persons thoughts, not a team, or a jury's decision. The person is no doubt a Leonard Cohen fan and I am sure we all know how bias that can be.

I was there for that gig, absolutely incredible moment - 60 odd thousand people, most of whom didn't know his music too well, all enraptured.

And apparently he refused to be televised, it wasn't the BBC's decision. I think he even refused to have the cameras rolling.
