Rufus Wainwright's Wedding

Rufus Wainwright is getting married tomorrow (August 23rd) in Montauk NY and his wedding reception is meant to consist of only live music. Given that Leonard is playing Amsterdam tonight and then has a break for a few days, is there's any chance he will be going? It would probably need a private jet to get there. It sounds crazy but it is the wedding of his grandson's father?

I think it's rather unlikely Leonard will be going. He needs his rest between shows and needs some travel time too.

As an aside, am I the only person on here who has absolutely no interest in who fathered Lorca's baby? I wish Rufus and Jorn well but I honestly don't see the relevance of their nuptials in the LC News section.

It is news, they are part of the family after all ;-)
Happy wedding to the newlyweds. Doubt that Leonard would take such a trip in between tour dates. Rufus will understand, he tours as well. ;-) There's lots of understanding going on, I am sure! ;-)

...Now married to artistic director Jorn Wiesbrodt, he is also a father of Lorca, whose mother is the daughter of Leonard Cohen. Obsessed with Verdi, he has composed his own opera, set Shakespeare sonnets to music and composed for the ballet.

His choices include Verdi, Massenet, Messiaen, Nina Simone, Kurt Weill, Manuel de Falla, Berlioz and Judy Garland.
