The article says 2 LC shows are planned for 2012(I think!) I guess that means they've invited him to perform at the festival but I doubt anything is set in stone - yet.

I still don't know whether to believe the rumour about Montreux - but, yes, my hopes were considerably raised, too.

OMG, please let this exciting news come true.Since last seeing Mr. Cohen in Sligo, I have had no zest for holidaying. This changes everything, my life does,nt seem so empty now. I know I will have to get on with my life some day, but for the moment I am happy to sit and wait. And Switzerland!, duty free cigarettes, double whammy. I know!!! I know!!! Here,s hoping a holiday is imminent for us all, with an amazing concert to treasure. Hippy days, oops Happy days.XX

No news indeed means no news. I think the organizers of the Jazz Festival would love to get Leonard back to Montreux next year, but - also according to what they've said - it is still just a plan (or invitation?). We know that Leonard has been, and still is, concentrating on the new album, and the future plans will be discussed seriously only after it's completed (some hints from the studio suggest that they should be wrapping everything up quite soon).

Well, it would be lovely if he toured again - but I might want to swerve a place where the people get drunk & throw stones.
And I always thought the Swiss were such a civilised bunch - if indeed they were Swiss.....
