According to information received today from Leonard's management, there are now no plans for a tour.

Calm down guys, and wait. We have a proverb here in Hungary: Patience raises up the Rose.

Good advice! And, indeed, just because there are currently no plans for a tour does not mean that plans will not be made for one, sometime in the future! I am an optimist!

I'm usually an optimist, however in this case I expected the decision to not tour again. We are so fortunate to have shared all those wonderful, magical moments with Leonard since the spring of 2008. To borrow someone elses signature phrase..."thanks for the memories"...

If this was FB I'd "like" that comment Diana ;-) Of course while I'd love to see Leonard on tour again I am forever grateful for everything he has given us :)

So there were plans but now there aren't any? Might I suggest a residency instead...he can stay put, well do the touring! ;-)

Don't they owe a show in Cambodia? I think we'd take one in Hong Kong just the same.

Hi burningviolin

Love the residency idea!....Remember many years ago...travelling during summers to
Tanglewwod, New England....to see another famous Leonard......
The wonderful Leonard Bernstein......

Great Idea!

Great idea, burningviolin!! I did alot of "touring" (many of us did!) during the last tour anyway; so this time, the touring would just be to the same place again & again - no problem at all!!

Jarkko's, (or the management's), use of the word "now" raises questions: it could mean that there were plans before, but now there are not; or it could mean that there are no plans now, but there could be plans in the future.

While the memories of the tour are surely incredible, beyond anything I ever dreamed of, & I am infinitely grateful for the last tour, I can't say I wouldn't be dismayed at the idea of never seeing Leonard again; that would be pretty unbearable; so I guess we have to take it a day at a time, as they say; what gives me hope is that nothing is written in stone, whatever is happening now can always change, at any moment!

This reminds of a Sufi story in which a king asks a certain wise man to give him something that will make him happy when he is sad, & sad when he is happy. So the wise man gives him a plaque with these words engraved on it: "This Too Shall Pass". (I guess those four words are the only thing that is "written in stone"!)

now, now, now ... Don't dwell on what has passed away or what is yet to be.

but speaking strictly for me and from a sort of "this time last year in Zagreb" perspective ---- summer isn't what it used to be!

I will forever have such beautiful memories of the concerts I went to from 2008 onwards. Thanks again Leonard :)
