Hi everyone
I've been visiting this web site for a while but only just joined the forum. Getting in to the chat room defeated me!
I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but I haven't been able to find the answer. Is there somewhere one can write to Leonard Cohen, where he might be likely to receive it, or is it just a case of sending to the record company? I know post arriving isn't the same as being read!
Anyway i enjoy the site, thanks for all the hard work. here's to the next album

I have been having trouble with the chat room too. I am glad to know I am not alone. Maybe somethign is wrong with it. I think you will have to send mail to the agent or to the record company however, he strikes me as being very dedicated to his fans much like another singer I know and love, Paul Williams, and I am sure if you wrote to him he would try to reply. I hope they get that chat room thing fixes I am dieing to get in there.

There are two, different avenues into the Chatroom. I tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully with one. With the other ~ and some help ~ I was finally able to make it in. In the past, Jarkko has posted the alternatives and directions. Perhaps, when he gets a minute, he'll bring that posting forward for you to avail. Good luck ! It'd be great to see you there, when I go.

Address to Leonard's office is on the "Authors" page of The Files.

- It's of no use to write to the record company, you will never hear from anybody.

The Chatroom is working OK. Probably you have disabled the use of javasript in your browser, or you don't allow pop-up windows.

You will get into the room also by using the IRC software. Go first to
http://www.mirc.com and download the MIRC software (for free).
After that get connected with the following addresses:

- choose IRC-server irc.nebula.fi and
- then the channel #CohenFans.

I will endeavour to enter the chat room again, I am using a mac so will have to download some software as you suggest. I have just been celebrating my mother's 80th birthday early (it isn't actually until tuesday), during the family gathering my brother-in -law denied there was any humour in Leonard Cohen songs, so of course I'm going to have to give him some examples- what are some of your favourite lines?
