He he, that's what I'd call a modern church! Too bad it's a bit far from me, I'd really like to attend.

I'd be interested to know what is played.... I can't think of one Leonard song that is a straightforward old-fashioned love song. Let's face it, most of Leonard's "love songs" are about loss or parting, then there are hidden references to S & M, and even "Dance Me to the End of Love" is reportedly set in a concentration camp!

I'd say that no love story is "straightforward" anyway... Only the Hollywood red roses and Valentines are.

Ha-ha,
Except for the odd wedding, I'm no churchgoer; but this church is only about 45 minutes drive from where I live. Our drinking-driving laws are draconian though, so I'd have to pass on the wine!
I sincerely hope that none of LC's songs are 'pasteurized' for this event...

Much love to you!

Hi Leslie!
Unfortunately, I did not end up going; I ended up being an emergency babysitter that evening instead (it had its moments

)
Sounds like it was jammed anyways – they were turning people back at the door (when last has a church had to do
that, I wonder? he-he)
XO
Sheila

SHeila it sounds like the babysitting was a good alternative.

I was surprised that rufus wainwright's Hallelujah was used as the Prelude music at our church today.
Even more surprised when they used "Always Look on the Bright Side of Live" from "The Life of Brian" as the Offertory music.
It's kind of a unique church, as you might have figured out.
