I today's edition of La Presse ( Montreal),there is an article by a journalist who is somekind of an insider to Leonard's orgnisation.From a very recent conversation with Rob Hallet and Robert Kory,respectively Leonard's promoter and agent, it transpired that it is almost a done thing that Leonard will touring again, in 2012, after the release next fall of his next album.

It's funny, I felt more confident after the show on Saturday night than ever before that there would be another tour after Leonard's new CD is released. This strong sense of optimism made the "final" concert much easier to bear. However, I think we should temper our excitement with a bit of realism. 2012 is a long way away and a lot can happen between now and then. Leonard may decide he doesn't want to go back on the road aged 77 or 78, or he may not be able to put the right band together at the right time to make it happen or whatever. I have heard several people put the chances of another tour at 50:50 and I think that is probably where things stand at this point in time. That's good enough for me - where there's life, there's hope!

Which grande porte exactly ? Centre Bell ? (To ring the Bell that still can ring? It's awful to write this, I know, I know.)

It must be uneasy to perform in one's hometown, for the family, so to speak, as everybody knows (oops, this one was not intentional) that nul n'est prophète en son pays. But he is, here like everywhere.

No fan can be bored by Leonard Cohen. It would be unfair for the Whole Wide Word, though, not to share the Man from M. - and, in my mind, very boring. It is much more fun like that, "moving cross the borders". En route for the blues now en deux mille douze.

I'm so slow that it is just perfect for me to know that today.

John, you wrote a while back something like, according to Astrology, Leonard should go on touring again soon or something like that? Am I making this up or confusing you with someone else? Sorry if so. But if these were your words indeed, could you repeat your explanation? I remember it was a curious theory.

My thoughts exactly Mary! I would love a new studio album (Born in Chains, The Darkness, Feels so good, and who knows what else we're going to get) and I can definitely use a year of financial recovery before the next tour!

Hi Inna,

You asked for my astrological theory about Leonard touring. I found that several of Leonard's major tours had occurred when Jupiter was moving through Taurus (this happens every twelve years). Being optimistic, I suggested that we might get some more Leonard concerts as early as next June. However Jupiter takes approximately one year to move through Taurus (including retrograde motion) and March - May 2012 looks even more promising. I'll be able to fine tune this, when we get more info regarding Leonard's plans.
