Favourite L.C line...

I once asked myself this Question: Which lines in a song sums up Leonard Cohen's being the best. With focus on love?
My answer(s) would be:
1: I showed my heart to the doctor. He said I just have to quit. Then he wrote himself a prescription, and your name was mentioned in it.
2: Take this longing from my tongue, all the useless things these hands have done.
3: I listened to your kisses at the door. I never heard the world so close before. You ran your bath and you began to sing. I felt so good I couldn't feel a thing
4: I came so far for beauty. I left so much behind: My patience and my family, My masterpiece unsigned. I thought i'd be rewarded, for such a very lonely choice, and surely she would answer, to such a hopeless voice.
5: Now maybe there's a god above, but all I ever learned from love, is how to shoot at someone who outdrew you.
This is my list. What do you think. In Plenum

I loved you when our love was blessed, and I love you now there's nothing left, but sorrow and a sense of overtime

...and from the same song:
the Gates of Love they budged an inch
I can't say much has happened since
but closing time
Cheers

Im the little jew who wrote the Bible
or
Everybody know you're in trouble
everybody know what you've been through
from the bloody cross on top of
calvery
to the beach of malibu
or
Jesus taken serious by many
Jesus taken serious by a few
or
May christ have mercy on your soul
for making such a joke
or

from the caverns of the heart

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

Restricting myself to just 3:
You left when I told you I was curious. I never said that I was brave.
You say I took the name in vain; I don't even know the name, but if I did, well, really, what it to you? There's a blaze of light in evry word, it doesn't matter which you heard, the holy of the broken Hallelujah.
Thanks for the trouble you took from her eyes. I thought it was there for ever, so I didn't even try.

And just when I was sure that his teachings were pure
He drowned himself in the pool
We are so small between the stars
So large against the sky
And lost among the subway crowds
I try to catch your eye.

"The room just filled up with mosquitioes, they heard that my body was free."
"I'm standing on a ledge and your fine spider web is fastening my ankle to a stone".
"By the rivers dark
where I could not see
who was waiting there
who was hunting me."
"I fought against the bottle, but I had to do it drunk."
"Here is your cross, your nails and your hill;
And here is your love, that lists where it will."
Too many more to note them all.........
Regards, W.O.

I cannot follow you, my love,
you cannot follow me.
I am the distance you put between
all of the moments that we will be.
Says all there is to say!

Not a song line, but this one always caught my eye:
a former school principal farts hysterically... (or something like that, as far as I remember)
its from Beautiful Losers, I think

"If I have been untrue,it´s just that I thought a lover had to be some kind of liar too." OR: "You"ll be hearing from me, baby, long after I´m gone;I`ll be speaking to you softly from a window in the tower of song." (which sounds quite a comforting promise to me).
