This week's issue of TimeOut Dubai announces a LC concert in March 2010...

Any confirmation from someone?

I believe the tentative plan is for Leonard to play Dubai after Moscow in March. Interesting that TimeOut has already announced it as the official schedule is yet to be published but my inner instinct tells me that we will know something more concrete very very soon...hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

Ithink they misread Dublin for Dubai.

It would even be more wonderful to have LC here, considering that in the 15 years I've been living in Dubai I have NEVER heard a song from him being played on any of the 5 or 6 English-speaking local FM radio stations !!!!

I have requested some radio DJs on several occasions to do so when there are programs allowing the public to propose a tune, to no avail... It seems that he's not on the list of artists in their repertoire...

However, local newspapers don't have a problem of publishing articles about LC which they copyright from the international press.

I truly hope this happens! Personally, it seems incredible that Leonard would have a concert in Dubai, BUT, I think it will occur...if all works out.

Hey, The Sisters Of Mercy played Beirut and Tel Aviv on their last tour.

Hi guys

Now this week's issue of Time Out repeats the previous news, and even shows a picture of LC and the venue: Dubai Festival City.

We could arrange for all members on this list who will attend to meet up at the Belgian Beer Cafe which is very close by for a drink and a bite before and/or after the concert! ( I am Belgian !!! )

I will keep you posted when I read something more...

Dubai March 21 is not going to happen. Probably there will be a concert on that day, but pretty far away (let's say 4.166 km) from Dubai. More info coming this week.

What´s 4.166 km away from Dubai?
Will the tour return to Europe?

My first guess would be Warsaw which is about 4.160 km away from Dubai (o.k. it´s not exactly 4.166 km, but this might be depending on the tool used for measuring).

Anyway, Jarkko thank you for the hint.
I will be patiently waiting for more clues or confirmation as always.

After fumbling a bit with Google Maps, my guess is also Warsaw. I've already started plotting

Well drats!! I did a conversion and 4.166 km is 5951.428571422621 arms-length, or 51.7726477370202 city blocks in the East Coast USA - so that would rule out Philadelphia. (Just checking.)
