When I went to see LC at Bournemouth last year, I was surprised to see people openly taking photographs. At Bob Dylan concerts you're frisked on the way in & I've seen the bouncers ejecting people for taking photographs.

I see that my ticket for next Tuesday in L'pool has the standard thing about no cameras allowed. So what's the deal - are LC concerts somehow different & we can use cameras during the concert?

They search bags, but a body search rarely happens, so I always carry my camera in my pocket. Given the number of mobiles that incorporate a camera these days, I don't see how they can possibly stop all 'cameras' getting in.

I think the prohibition is only there to give AEG the legal basis from which to prosecute someone who grossly breaches the regulation, for example by selling a bootleg DVD.

Who would want a picture of Bob Dylan though? Ooops better go & hide.

I was very pleased with the photos I took at O2, Dublin. I was unclear as to the rules for O2/LC and the first night I had my compact camera in Block J - a waste of time, but on Thursday, from Flat Seating, Row L, I was very satisfied. Are we encouraged to share on this forum or is this frowned on ?
