Which song is it that the Webb sisters do their cartwheel? I recall it early in the show at Winnipeg but I can't see it anywhere on the Live in London DVD.
Thanks in advance,
Daevid

The Webb sisters cartwheel is a "Fall 2008" tour onwards phenomeon. It occurs at the end of the "white girls dancing" line of The Future, which is a couple of songs into set one. I'm not all that impressed, and kinda hope not to see it again, but then I grew up with English girls (and am used to at least getting a flash of knickers as part of the set-piece)
I suppose if Leonard can get away with dancing funny in the song then its only fair his backing singers should get to do it for the laughs too.
Why not go the whole hog? Here's a potential show ending to supplant Whither Thou Goest

It is there, in embryonic form. At "white girls dancing" in The Future, Hattie and Charley do a demure little twirl holding hands. It was filmed on 17 July 2008, when they were just experimenting. The full-bloodied cartwheels didn't appear until the autumn.
I like the cartwheels. They are completely in tune with Leonard's mischevious sense of humour.

Thanks, I thought that it was real early and The Future made sense because of the twirl but I didn't realize it was developed after Live in London.

Can anyone explain why Huw Jones in Live Review (see poster above) says "pure class that would have George Harrison dancing in his grave"? I know that the Charlie and Hattie appreciate the Beatles' music, but I wondered if there is some other connection.
All good things, John E
P.S. I'm hoping that the UK may get a Webb Sisters concert soon. I'm glad they're also getting the opportunity to perform alone.
