I have posted here how new I am to LC's poetry / music, I am now totally and utterly hypnotised by this man! Not an easy thing for a 50 year old guy to admit to, but up to a few weeks ago LC had passed me by.

Anyway I am converted and cram as much of his music into everyday :)

I am aware that the words to a Thousand Kisses Deep as somewhat different on the latest concert tour and I find it difficult to listen to the entire recital without a teardrop wanting to emerge. Thankfully there are decent Youtube footage of Leonard reciting this without the over enthusiastic audience having to be signalled by the band to be quiet.

Does anyone know where I can go to get the words to this latest rendition of A Thousand Kisses Deep. I am aware the LC speaks each word so clearly, but I don't want to get it wrong.

HI John,
A Thousand Kisses Deep is produced in its entirety in Leonard's recent "Book of Longing", a collection of poetry, drawings and lyrics. He used half of the poem for the eponymous song on the 2002 album "Ten New Songs" and the other half is what he has been reciting on the tour.
Hope that is clear,
Martin

I am converted, am astounded, am hypnotized...my daughter says she has never seen me so "obsessed" by anyone/anything, as I am a perfectly pickled person, much like the rest of the people in this world, but Leonard....well, the light has come in so many ways. I'm thankful, such a small word...and even though I'm not responding directly to your plea, just wanted to say I'm in the same "boat"! I'm 48 and never heard of this man, have immersed myself in him these last few weeks after the introduction by my 21-year old son. Thanks for posting!
