T shirt tale

In all my wanderings since being a Cohen fan (apart from LC concerts, events or gatherings) I have never encountered anyone wearing an LC T shirt...until today, that is!
Yes, a man walking towards me was wearing a Field Commander Cohen T shirt, so I made positive comment as we reached each other and also asked had he seen a concert, to which he replied: "yes, bloody fantastic"!

He was about to step into a pub with other people, otherwise I would have engaged him in a further rave about Mr Cohen!
This also got me thinking that maybe I should start wearing mine in more general public places.
Cheers
Andrew

A rush to see someone wearing a shirt that makes it clear you've found 'another.' My dilemma is that I get protective about them and, not wanting to somehow ruin them, I err on the side of preservation and don't wear them. But, then, what's the point... and look at the connections you may be missing. Thanks for sharing this one, Andrew. Cool.

My boyfriend wears his The Future World Tour tshirt out and about, and has yet to meet a fellow fan - and London's a big place! Maybe we're a reticent bunch. I'm with you Lizzytysh, I don't wear mine in case something happens to it - maybe I should buy a back up when I next see Leonard, and keep one in a pristine condition and wear the other to spread the word!

A couple of decades ago

, I was in a Big Lots store (overstock, out-of-business, etc. merchandise) when lo and behold, I saw an LC tshirt with the 'I'm Your Man' cover on the front - only $2.00!! Did I buy it? NO! Mother's Day being only 2 days away and thinking no one in Columbus would buy it (we are not known for being a hotbed of LC fans

), I went home and immediately informed my young children (around 16, 9, and 2) about what I seen - hint, hint, hint.
Something I
really wanted and easily affordable for them. Mother's Day and EGAD! - no tshirt!!!!! Run down to the store - gone! Devastated! On the positive side, there must be have been another LC fan in Columbus, Ohio besides my husband and myself

. There are many more now 'cause I just cannot stop raving about LC

.
Since then, we have purchased our own tshirts

. With the exception of wearing 'The Future Tour' tshirt in Kitchener, Ontario during the day, before the concert, just to make people jealous

(no one even commented

) our tshirts remain in preservation mode.
Yes, Andrew, somewhat_nifty, and Lizzy, they need to come out, 'to spread the word' (somewhat_nifty) and experience 'the rush' of finding 'another' (Lizzy), especially in Columbus, Ohio

.
Best regards,
Mary

I am a new fan, 50 years old and as I have posted one, Leonard passed me by! How, I will never know, music is my life.
Anyway I am making up for lost time by reading and listening like crazy.
Tee shirts are available on the net but as per usual they are not in sizes for the bigger man.
I will design by own and it will be unique:)

Please let us see it when you're done, John.
Better late than never on discovering Leonard. I'm so glad I found him when I did. There were so many years when I
needed him and he was there

. What I'm happy about for you is that you discovered him in time to see him Live. I feel badly for those out there who haven't yet, and may
not in time

.
Wow, Mary. What a miserable lesson that was! Next time... "Here, I've bought myself a Leonard shirt. If you want to gift me with it, you can reimburse me $2.00 plus tax."

? Who'duhthunk? You're right... I need to wear mine... [trepidatiously... no one get near me!]... fortunately, his t-shirts tend to be dark. My dear friend made me some with her photo of me standing next to Lorca's photo of Leonard standing, displayed at the Beacon. She included the one that kinda messed up. Which one did I wear out? You got it

! Hopeless...

. I'll work on reforming myself on that, though.

I am claustrophobic which on the surface should not affect clothes but it does I can't wear round neck tee shirts as they make me feel like I can't breathe

but they never never never do V necked tee shirts why is that?

Hi Paula, there were some V-ncek T shirts at Oakland. One was grey with black lettering and had Beuatiful Loosers on the front It was a nice looking shirt. Hopefully they will be available for the summer European tour.

That sounds cool! There's always a lack of choice for ladies with these things, though I was very please with my New Skin... Tshirt bought back in November. I will keep my eye out for this one when I go later this year.

I bought the V-neck Beautiful Losers T-shirt in Vancouver, and it's a nice quality - soft and I bought a size larger than needed so the V is quite well, 'alluring'.

Nice for showing off summer jewellery. However, I wore it around town the day after the concert, and I think the general feeling was that someone wearing a 'Beautiful Losers' T must be on a weight loss plan, esp. as it was a tad large.

Fug 'em, I say. I'm not going to put it into mothballs, though. I'll wear it until it's too shredded to wear then I'll sleep in it. THEN I'll save the pieces in mothballs. I've other LC stuff that will last forever. I would really love to run into another fan or someone wearing a shirt as they had TONS of them.

I hope they still have TONS of them in Detroit! The larger size sounds like a good plan. I just need to break down and buy two. One to wear and one to preserve... or at least have as a back-up.
You'll be seeing him again, this summer, right, Paula? Or would you like me to pick up one for you [and not just set it back down

] just in case?

Recently I was in Brisbane airport just before his concert there. Someone had the MOJO mag with LC on the front. I had my shirt on and we made an instant connection. For the few moment we were together it was most enjoyable. Also when in NZ shortly after I was at the Marlborough wine festival and several connections were made not just with other fans but with others who had heard of him from the adverts from his tour and after a chat said that they would look out for his music.

Can you believe it? After my initial post in this thread, on Saturday night I encountered
another guy with an LC T shirt on here in Melbourne!

This one was the Songs of Love & Hate version. Anyway, it's so nice to witness the LC fan resurgence in this more tangible way!
I think I'm convinced now: I must air in public my unified hearts (with Anthem verse) version from the 2008 European tour leg!
Cheers,
Andrew
