Never ever related these two before...."There are some men" and " As the Mist" any connection?

THERE ARE SOME MEN

There are some men
who should have mountains
to bear their names to time.

Grave markers are not high enough
or green,
and sons go far away
to lose the fist
their father’s hand will always seem.

I had a friend:
he lived and died in mighty silence
and with dignity,
left no book son or lover to mourn.

Nor is this a mourning-song
but only a naming of this mountain
on which I walk,
fragrant, dark and softly white
under the pale of mist.
I name this mountain after him.

I'm not sure - my first reaction was no but when I when I went back to read, I see that you may have a point.
To be honest, I've never liked There are some Men, but just now I read it a couple of times to compare and I think it's growing on me. I'm curious now as well. Beneath My Hands directly follows as the Mist leaves no Scar, I think it is directly connected. The lines I dread the time when your mouth begins to call me hunter - is especially powerful considering the poem it has just followed.

Guess its all in the interpretation, always thought As the Mist was about a woman...only now do I consider it possible might be a man.
