When I arrived at work one of the first things I do is turn on the CBC. They were playing a Leonard Cohen song on Q. After the song host Jian Ghomeshi was saying that Leonard Cohen is a treasure....

I sent a message requesting his help to get Leonard Cohen a star on our walk of fame. I am confident he is the man that can help make it happen. EVERYONE please go to the CBC web site and send a message. It does not matter wether or not you are Canadian the more messages the better.

Canada really is a funny place. Imagine a country where the likes of some of the musicians on the National walk of fame are inducted before Leonard Cohen. And I don't intend any slight towards these musicians, but come on - Cohen is a globally celebrated songwriter and poet with a career spanning over 40 years. He is the gold-standard for songwriters everywhere (something I'm certain Jann Arden (Inductee) would agree with). And, one of his only two novels is still considered - after 40 years - to be a watershed work in this country. Also, he continues to have a mystique in Canada's National media even though he spends little time here.

Cohen's induction should have been a major election issue here in the last month. :D

Maybe we need start the Cohenservative Party of Canada to help conserve this National treasure. ;-)

Must be the cold. 8)
