The bbc usually broadcast from glastonbury as well, last year I think I remember watching a full set by John Fogerty although it was on one of the funny bbc channels bbc4 or something.

Herewith the provisional BBC schedule for Glastonbury, as listed in today's issue of The Times:

SUNDAY

TELEVISION

5pm-6.40pm BBC Two (and HD)

Neil Diamond from the Pyramid stage, plus Newton Faulkner.

7pm-8pm BBC Three

Mark Ronson and the Pigeon Detectives on the Other stage.

9pm-10pm BBC Four

Highlights from Jazz/World stage, including Solomon Burke.

10pm-12.30am BBC Three

Leonard Cohen, Goldfrapp, Zutons.

11pm-2am BBC Two (and HD)

The Verve on the Pyramid stage.

Last year, you could access a selection of sets from Glastonbury by the likes of John Fogerty and the wonderful Arcade Fire via the BBC's interactive service (i.e. by pressing the red button on your remote control!) at your leisure.

Here's hoping for a similar facility this year.....and plenty of footage of Mister Cohen, obviously.

Does anyone have an update on the above - tune into BBC Three between 10pm and 12-30am for LC coverage?

Pretty much, based on the past few nights coverage its often luck of the draw whats on when you tune in. If you have digital try the red button as you get more of a choice and it tends to show a lot of one artist rather than playing one or two tracks from lots of artists like the main coverage does

Re: BBC2 Glastonbury highlights sunday NO LEONARD?

I called BBC television centre this evening to be told "we are not filming Leonard Cohen tonight." I hope the guy was wrong!
This may explain why there are no listings for Leonard ANYWHERE on the BBC schedules.
This is terrible news if true and with so many other big names being filmed, but arguably none with Leonard's heritage, how is it possible that Leonard has been left off the schedules, unless some legal issues - but surely these are solvable What about the millions of fans who want to see him and the band.

Let's hope that some fans at Glastonbury will get plenty of quality footage of Leonard, band and singers, and post it on the forum.

I feel a bit of a fool, swapping about all over the BBC coverage, BBC 2/3/ interactive etc etc, driving the family mad by continually interrupting the euro 2008 final, only to find that it is not recorded ?
Oh well, roll on O2 on the 17th ! :(

According to the BBC's Leonard Cohen page:

"Leonard Cohen has chosen not to be recorded for TV or radio on his UK tour"

They do have some photos from his set, but not the video we were all hoping for.

So I sat through a lot of pretty dull stuff for nothing. This is what people pay to see is it? Catch a massive crowd and put them behind wire fences so they can't get out. Most of them will be saying what a superb festival it was, they daren't say any other, nobody wants to look like a fool.
g.
ps.Thankyou Leonard, for nothing.

Me too I was sooooo looking forward to to seeing him again (but close up) - I was there at Manchester!

Let's hope this means there is to be a DVD of the World Tour?

Have those of you "in the know" heard anything to that?

Such a big disappointment, I was looking forward to recording Leonard's set as a reminder of an amazing tour.
I do hope he will bring out a DVD of one concert eventually!
