Me too.
I bought tickets for concerts in Dublin (on my birthday), Manchester and London. When Leonard was last in the UK, 15 years ago, I went to three concerts in a row and they were all different - so unusual for a tour performance, so typical of Leonard. (Dylan for ex reproduces the exact same thing day after day). Leonard made different comments and sang different songs each night (my favourite comment was, 'Thanks for all the letters and notes.... it doesn't help, but thanks!").
However, I agree totally with the other two people on another thread who are appalled by all the Ticketmaster/overpicing stuff. The way they operate is like the opposite of poetry. I have spent a small fortune on the six tickets I bought, but I wanted to take my boyfriend, my ex-partner (with whom I was in Hydra 2002 and who remains my best friend), and another close friend who's been through a hard time. I wish the money was going only to Leonard and/or causes he cares about instead of big corporate thugs. But if the alternative is not to see him at all, I couldn't bear it. (It's like carbon footprints and travel : I'd rather not pollute the air, but I couldn't live without travel... tough choices). I guess we 'owe' all this to the behaviour of his former manager, but I like to think, having seen Leonard in London with Philip Glass, that he's looking forward to touring for the pleasure of it, not just to replenish coffers. Hope to see you all there, Habie x

It's interesting what you say about overpricing. Have you ever seen Cohen in a big arena. I wasn't sure how it would work.
Check out my blog and let me know what you think...

Managed to get some tickets as well at about 9.02am through ticketmaster, so i'm not complaining.
But ....just a wee question: is it just me or do others think as well that the best category tickets are not on sale anywhere? Are they just by invite only? I don't quite get it.

I don't know about Edinburgh, but at the 02 you can still get what they call the hospitality package, which includes a dinner before hand for £285 a head, so I assume that these people will be reserved the premium seats.
This is what it says on Ticketmaster:
http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/120 ... norcatid=1
Pre-show seated dinner in the Backstage Bar at The o2 arena from 6pm.
-includes free arrival drink, beer, wine and soft drink.
-3 course seated dinner.
-Goody bag of exclusive merchandise.
-Premium seats in The O2 arena.
-Parking, 1 parking voucher per 4 people.
In fact I think it probably would be better to pay this price than the over inflated prices that touts are charging for tickets on ebay.

I am truly happy that those that got tickets
'Got tickets!!!'
It must be a true impossibility that all those that want
Can get...
I only hope now that 'Our Man' doesn’t just play to the stars and the rich
I tried so hard
But lost...
The chase it seems
Was run by computers
And the institutions of tout
We must be thankful with our records and books
And that Leonard’s words will forever stretch so far
So I wait somewhere in 'the future'
'Those that dance
Begin to dance...'

l was 12th in a queue, got 2 tickets for Dublin show at 9.10am and was sent to a corner, triple z l think. 16th in the Q was out of luck and nobody had heard that sunday was open for sale. I'm not good at maths, but heres my simple sum: 80 ticketmaster outlets in lreland. If l was 12th in Limerick and in every other Q then 1000 people got tickets before me(10% of capacity) and the rest were block booked or taken online. Several of us in the Q had people trying online at home and none could get in to book!
Thanks to the forum info l simply queued again and got better seats for sunday as the ticketmaster machine threw out six random seats till l shouted "house". lt was all very arbitary, chaotic and nervejangling.

How many Dylan shows did you attend last year? I saw 5 of the six shows on his uk tour and everyone was different. If Ive leaned one thing watching Bob over the years he never repeats himself every show has something special. I don't go to hear him speak his music does that and that is always fresh. I don't know why people seem to want artists to talk to the audiance during shows their music does that with Dylan you get a great band, 17 songs and no chat all for £35 what more could you want

.

I got the floor seating as the tiers at Edinburgh Castle are scary, you are hanging over the walls! As the other messages said row jj was the nearest, I think the front rows are reserved for dignitaries and invited guests.
That package at London is scandalous and I am sure management companies aren't aware that these packages exist, or am I just naive.
Counting down the days and re-living old memories associated with Leonard's music; each song a marker on my time line of experience.
