Well, with all three of us praying  maybe we'll get first rate seats in the Orpheum (which is where he played last).

I wouldn't give up hope - more Canadian dates are going to be announced. BC is always looked at as Beside Canada - if it's not Toronto or Montreal, it just doesn't seem to count - not enough politicians or something.

I live in Victoria. I can't afford travel to Montreal or Toronto, but if Leonard does anywhere west of Manitoba, I'll be there. When I discovered some months ago that Leonard would tour, I told my girlfriend, "Doesn't matter where in Canada, we're going!" but the airfare is horrific. At the rates WestJet or Air Canada are charging I can hope for a closer concert and pay for top seats.

Leonard, if you're thinking about Victoria, the McPherson Theatre's a fine venue!

Garth

P.S. Thanks Jarkko for your hard work. You don't know me, but I've been a quiet member on the forum for three years or so. Also, my partner and I have registered for the Edmonton Festival and I'm sure we'll meet then.

Hey ICT, long time no see,

Well, I took it upon myself and phoned Ticketmaster in Vancouver, and they told me they have no info. (rather - it's not yet been announced if he'll play Vancouver). T.O. tix go on sale 9:30 or 11:30 EST. I wonder if it's worth a WestJet and a summertime hotel in T.O. HAahahaha.... - also, I hate to be the one to say it, but if you saw the induction, a long tour is not going to aid his voice. He'll likely need to rest it for another year. I saw Ella Fitzgerald once, well twice, and she could barely speak. She could sing though. Oh, man.

Hi everyone,

I just got back from a wondeful vacation in the Dominican Republic and hastily checked the site and WHERE'S VANCOUVER????? OR VICTORIA? I am almost ready to slash my wrists, here. I missed the last tour and I've hosted 2 tribute events in Victoria that were very popular. If he misses the West coast of Canada (he probably has a million fans here, easily), I am going to be sooooooooooo disappointed. Toronto, Montreal, the Maritimes -- the airfare is extortion for anyone to pay if you live in Western Canada -- I may as well just book a flight to Italy.

I am trying to be patient, but it's hard.

Cheers,

Natalie

I don't think there will be more cities in Canada this summer.
The tour may continue later this year but no information is available - and will not be in the near future.

Oh, dear. The word of DOOM. Well, it's either 'get ready to go to Toronto - which is so expensive it's unreal', or 'be thankful for the music and poetry he's left us' time. I'll be happy with the latter. As much as I'd like to see him, there's a lot of great tape, music, poetry, that will live on long after a one night stand, so to speak. We're disappointed now, but I think we'll get over it. Just don't log in as people send in their reports of how great it all was. Tix, airfare, and the very expensive Toronto hotels really make it hard for those of us who just work. I should have heeded my Dear Old Daddy's words when told me to save all the money I could, whenever possible. It's cheaper to fly to Europe than it is to get to and stay in Toronto. It all seemed to happen so 'fast'. I was really 'counting' on Vancouver being on the itinerary. Well, at least I'm not alone.

And yes, I'd like to echo the sentiments to Jarkko for all his hard work and help in this matter.

Hi everyone,

I am just devastated, which is an understatement. I was really counting on Vancouver, too. After all the tribute events in Western Canada, and the big one in Edmonton -- I am pretty shocked. Toronto is pure extortion. I may as well just get a second mortgage on the house to go there.

Sooooooooooooooo disappointed. I cannot believe it.

I may look into Europe -- it will be less expensive.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

And he's going to the Maritimes, too? That just adds insult to injury. I could see Toronto, Montreal -- the 2 big ones, but Moncton? Come on!

This is a very sad day for Western Canadians.

Maybe all of us from the West could rent a van and drive to Toronto. It would save us a ton of money. What do you say?

I was very disappointed not to see Vancouver or anything remotely close on the list, even sadder when Jarkko basically told us not to hold our breath  .We can always hope. Maybe the North American leg of his tour will hit Seattle? We could all rent a bus and go together, ha ha.

blerg! they've already been spoiled (spoiled, punished - whatever) with winter and now they're being spoiled with leonard. what a stupid gigantic country we live in. pure heartbreak.

at least i can take solace in the fact there it's not winter here. and there is a liquor store one block from my apartment.
