Hello Mutti. That's a nice story, and great that you got to travel so far, so young. Have an excellent time if you are going to Sligo. And Tinds and whoever else. What a perfect venue Leonard has chosen. He seems to have a great affection for the Irish - the people and the literary tradition. That came across loud and clear when we saw him in Kilmainham. Much looking forward to his next album, that I see up in the News is definitely in the pipeline now.

Have a fantastic summer everyone, whatever you are doing.

Diane (away for a while) x.

i know through my dylan trading that the postal service between mainland uk and ireland is notoriously slow......expect at least a week but most probably nearer to 10 days (and possibly later) before the package arrives...it's been a week since i posted which means sometime between now and the end of this week should do it.....it's been a bone of contention for years amongst regular users.....it's actually quicker to send a package to joe in wisconsin than it is to dublin.........ta ken

Ken
Thanks for those fabulous clips of Hylda and Jimmy . They brought back memories of my childhood ( very young childhood ) . I don't think the powers that be will mind us straying from the straight and narrow when it is in the interest of "genius" . Maybe therein lies the connection .

Yes Tinderella and have you noticed we have some new contributers to the thread in Maarten and Mutti . Thats great isn't it . We will have to have a serious disscussion in Kracow about the future of this thread
Things can only slide , slide in one direction
Won't be nothing to stop us anymore
The future of this thread has crossed the threshold
And it's overturned the order of us all

I've seen the future brother (and sister) it goes further

The traitor who wrote this should be dragged to the nearest guillotine and shot . I always knew we could do it . The result was never in doubt . Oh you of little faith !
And now Ken with a subtle reference to Henning's walking weekend (to stop the thread from straying ) I can say :
BRING ON GERMANY !!

glad to hear that the cds finally arrived...an urban myth has it that the reason for the slow postal service between england and ireland is that whenever post from england arrives at the main post office on o'connell street it is thrown into a back room and forgotten for a week or more...apparently something to do with the 90 odd year old bullet holes on the front of the building.....england's unfortunate result yesterday has put paid to an idea to make me some money which i was going to ask your boss to help me out with......for the idea to work i was hoping for another no score draw yesterday which would not have only put everybody out of their misery now rather than have to wait for those young germans to do the job on sunday....but more importantly it would have helped me to promote my idea of marketing my england world cup glasses.....
O-O
i know they would be a best seller in dublin at least.........

Unfortunately I fear only until Sunday !
I hear Fabio has a cunning plan he allowed the players ONE drink the night before the game and they scored ONE goal so on Saturday night they are all going to have seven or eight in order to give Germany a good thrashing !

phil

i heard on the radio this morning that this time fabio isn't announcing the final team line up until 2 hours AFTER the game on sunday.....even stranger i also heard fabio didn't tell anybody who he was marrying until 2 hours before the ceremony........

...luckily for me i shall be sitting on a TV-less schinoussa for the rest of the footfall so i shall have to miss rooney throwing his usual petulant little fit after those young germans have humiliated that rag bag of over-paid little english footfall divas on sunday.......

ah cmon guys - don't be so fanatic about football - it is just a game.

But maybe it's only me thinking that, because I have seen the light recently and I want all teams to win. I wear a flower in my hairs these days and I sing Rilke about fishes and forests and how beautiful the landscape is. It feels very relaxed to sit and charme others like the buddhists do. So feed the fires with your flags and say "OMMM". Don't let a ball be the object of a dangerous teasing. Peace, friends, peace.
