Hello Mick, I posted a cheque to Carlow today.
Thank you jdhayes, the cheque arrived,
I will include the amount in next Friday's total.
I saw the outline of the Plaque today,
Frank has changed the stone from Granite to black marble with silver painted inscription.
I think it looks and reads good,
"I hope you're satisfied" :!: .
Picture next week .
;-)

I've finally posted a donation to you Mike. Should be there today or tomorrow latest. Kinda sad that the plaque is now in shiny black and not rough stone :( Thought the stone would have weathered really well - just like Leonard :!: :!: Still, I do understand that sometimes an executive decision has to be made and lord knows I've made many of those myself... thanks for all the work.

I agree with you coolfadda regarding the rough granite stone
but with suggested additions from Forum members the inscription outgrew the original stone.
to have accommodated the script on the same type stone would have raised costs to over 1,000 euro,
so I allowed Frank to decide what alternative stone would suit best for the Plaque.
The result looks good and was finally completed this evening.

Fri. Sept. 03, musicmania wrote: Sounds good! Is our Unified Heart still blue?
The colour for the Unified Hearts icon is red as the blue faded into the black marble and thus was not very noticeable.
I hope to have a photograph of the Plaque posted before the weekend, you can all then judge for yourselves  -- ;-) .

Mick, red should work well with the black background. Have you any idea for the time of the unveiling on the 21st ?.
Have you decided on Las Vegas ?.

Mick
Thank you for this project and all the hard work and devotion you have put into it.
I would love to be there for the planting on the 21st and would have loved to have been in Marseille even more (ha ha but sold the tickets we had to that one)
but will think of you all there.
I will never forget your kindness to me whilst I was in Ireland...and so enjoyed all the people I did meet there... ;-)
I still have to post my report and will get to that soon.
Thanks again Mick and look forward to seeing the photos!
