in Zen there are the Ten Oxherding Pictures (which, if I remember right, were the inspiration for the "Ballad of the Absent Mare") ...

And now we have Ten More Days of Patience.

Certainly, this 10 will make us all very happy.

I return to my lifelong belief that good things are worth waiting for. It hasn't let me down, yet; and the explanation for the delay underscores that it won't this time, either.

By coincidence, I just had the same thought and posted some remembrances of Lissadell 2010 here

By some even more strange coincidence, I quoted your review of the Saturday concert !!

It seems like if the production team needs a few more days of work on the project, then it is most likely not an announcement of a new upcoming album. Album release announcements usually let the news out into the world that a new album is coming, the title, and the release date. There wouldn't be extra production work that would be needed in that case just for an announcement. Unless of course they are just going to drop the new release on the world, ready to be listened to, and that is what the countdown is about. But that seems highly unlikely, considering the Cohen estate would be essentially forfeiting the revenue from the preorders of physical copies (cd and vinyl) that come between an upcoming record announce date and its release date.
So what does that leave in terms of what we're waiting for? Maybe a single song or a short video as a gift to his fans? Any guesses?

Ok. I read that above in Jarkko’s original post. And my point, pironi, is that a press release for an upcoming album would generally not constitute an ambitious or complex project that would need a few more days.
