My take on it is that option b (no one has guessed it yet) but I am not sure if that is why Jarkko is letting us

My second guess based on
1 - has to be close to home (LA) so the task of setting up and then storing the equipment before the next leg causes least amount of difficulty
2 - the audience reaction to a song, while causing him to temporarily be flustered, must have been pleasurable because

Sorry but I get the prize if it's Taipei as I got my guess in first (see previous page). However, I think you deserve a prize anyway for the longest potential venue name. Imagine how long the tickets would have to be to fit it all in ...

My first guess would have been L.A. Since Mary beat me to it, my next best guess would have been New Orleans; but Jarkko's post says the correct answer is already within the thread.

I sure hope its somewhere in the continental u.s. heck, even hawaii would fly.

The reason is either:

Someone already picked the correct city

or

No one has yet picked the correct city


If someone already picked it, Jarkko is saying "Pick some more, have some fun"

If no one yet picked correctly, Jarkko is saying "Wrong! Try again!"

He won't say which reason it is because it would spoil the fun.

For my second choice, I'll go for a long shot:

Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco

Elton John, Sting, and Carlos Santana have performed in Rabat - why not Leonard Cohen too!

Okay, before I give my guess---here's my reasoning:

They will be in Aus/NZ right before the end of 2010. So the possibilities were South Africa, South America, Hawaii, Asia, Japan, back to North America.

Remember this has to be before the end of the year. So, not a lot of time left. And they usually don't go full-on through the month of December, so that makes even less time left.

South Africa was said to be not on the list. Same with South America. So I was thinking Japan, but that won't be the case in December as was stated by Jarkko. I figured Hawaii would be included on the Japan leg, so i think we'll now get a show early in 2011. So that leaves Asia. And not a lot of time. Then the Cambodia ( still can't get over that one!) thing came up for Nov 27. Which means that for them to even consider that date and location they must be in the area. So--where? Korea? Singapore? Taiwan? Hong Kong?

Out of all of those Hong Kong seems an absolute natural choice, and I'd bet cash money they are going there. But we are trying to pick the LAST concert...

Then I remembered that AEG is trying hard to build live shows and sporting events in China. Now Leonard may or may not have a large following in China, but his concerts there would certainly be big news for China, for Chinese tourism, and in the entertainment industry. It wouldn't be a full tour like N America or Australia etc. Just a few shows.

And remember that there is---for some reason---a delay on announcing all these final tour dates. Why? It could be that there will be a big "China" announcement coming soon from AEG LIve.

Made sense to me. Then I saw that Shangai and Beijing (Peking) were already picked. But it turns out that the third-largest city in China, Guangzhou (Canton) is very aggressive in marketing and promotion, even landing the 2010 Asian Games (a big deal).

So they do Perth Nov 24, Cambodia Nov 27, then probably Hong Kong, then Beijing, then Shanghai, then finish in Guangzhou, China sometime early December before heading home for the holidays.

Well, scocoh, that is some impressive reasoning, especially for someone fairly new to the forum (big welcome,btw!). You appear to have great sleuthing abilities and I think I agree with you. I am totally mystified by Cambodia (even if it is only for big money and politicos...didn't think LC would do that again after Monaco). But the chain of super-novas along the Asian coastline must be enticing to AEG, and although I have already presented my 2 guesses (pre-Cambodia and post-Cambodia), I still have this feeling that they will also hit Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and/or several cities in Japan. However, all those venues were guessed earlier....

We will simply have to be patient and see how things fall......
