It is about 11k. Take the N15 out of town and bear left after a while [suitably inexact Irish measure], probably signed Drumcliff[e] or Lissadell.
Know nothing about buses there.

Hi Monk
it's the first road on your left immediately after The Yeats Tavern which is also on your left on the N15 out of Sligo. Its approx 5km down a narrow windy road! Don't know how they will manage the traffic in that particular area, however "If It Be Your Will" am sure it will all go smoothly!

Just a housekeeping issue - do any local fans know if the "right-of-way" issue at Lisadell will be a factor in the staging of the concert?

I believe LC is going to be used as a mediator in the dispute over the weekend and will solve the rights of way thus depriving the lawyers of more obscene fees and ensuring that the new owners and the locals live in harmony henceforth. He will also bring about lasting peace in the world, as well as making sure that it does not piss down rain continually, it is July after all. He will also ensure that the Chinese behave reasonably in Tibet, etc. etc. A busy weekend for the old lad.

I love it!!!
The Chinese in Tibet will probably end up easier than County Councils and rights of way......

Ticketmaster say that pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 9am tomorrow to fan PR - how do you sign up to indicate that you are a fan?

Well, it's the subject of considerable speculation... local councils here can be quite obdurate... I think the most common view is that there will be arguments down to the wire, and in the end Sligo Council will grant permission....

FYI. aer arann have a happy hour today between 11am and 2pm irish time - 40% off all flights. They fly to Galway from luton and from several airports to Dublin. Wont get you to Sligo but def. on the way.!!

They do Manchester and Glasgow to Donegal.... which is closer (much) than Dublin or Galway.... and they're great... their prices are clear (not like Lyin'Air) & you get a proper baggage allowance too.... their "happy hours" are usually great bargains... as much as 60% off... I've got flights to Dublin for 18 euro before now (including taxes & everything!) - and hey, Donegal is well worth a visit, AND you be approaching Lissadell from the opposite direction to the world & his wife
(ps - I'm not in the pay of Aer Arran or Donegal Tourism

)

Buses will run from Sligo town to Concerts.
Pick-up and drop-off points will be announced later.
The right-of-way issue will not obstruct the Concerts in any manner.
Pre-concerts meet-up venue will be arranged soon, carlowmike
