For accommodation. The Clarion and the Radissonblu had rooms still available through travelrepublic.co.uk and lastminute.com today.
Travel Rebulic prices were considerably lower. We have booked 3 nights (30 Jul to 1st Aug) at the Radissonblu £307 plus credit card charge, through Travel Republic.
Just hope we get tickets for the concert now! Looking forward to another great outdoor event in Ireland.

Hi,
just keep an eye on the first message of this thread! Jarkko will post further details about the presale soon. We then get a link to the seller's website where you can get your tickets.
Regards,
Maarten

10,000??? I wouldn't expect this show to sell out. Sounds like it may be a general admission show too. Would they bother setting up chairs? And if it rains, will we be covered in wet Icelandic ash?
I guess I could read this whole thread and maybe learn something...
Cheers,

Thanks Jarkko! Now that it's permissable again....I will be up VERY early on Saturday to book my ticket!! Hotel already arranged. Roll on Sligo!! I hope everyone who attends realizes how very very special this concert(s) will be. Everyone who is in Ireland please try somehow to be there. No matter the difficulties with distance or cost....this will be a moment in time to remember.....it may never happen again.

Heck, I'm just glad it wasn't something I said or because I may go

Knowing an on-sale time would surely help. I'll have to decide if I should stay up or get up then. OH crap I am in Toronto for 3 shows, Fri, Sat & Sun.
The things I do for the Webb Sisters...ummm, I mean Laughin' Lenny
Cheers,

Janis & I must be close to taking the record for the longest distance travelled to a Leonard Cohen concert. Here is the itinerary : Canberra, Sydney, Beijing, Frankfurt, Dublin & Sligo. Then all the way back again and all in a week. We would not do it unless we knew it was going to be a once in a lifetime experience to be at Lissadell House to see this amazing artist.

For this you should be guaranteed a couple of front row centre seats!

We'll recognize you as the couple who keep nodding off at dinner or in the middle of a conversation

Very impressed...

Wow Leonard Cohen in Lissadell. What a venue!! Its gonna be great assuming Sligo Co Council give the necessary permission. Hopefully the fact that the owners are embroiled in lengthy and expensive litigation with the Council over public access to the estate won't prejudice the Council when deciding on this permission.

We are in the middle of a recession so can't imagine Sligo CC turning dowm the chance of alot of funds being injected into the local economy.
