I'm sorry to read that the negotiations between tour management and Israeli sponsors made their way onto this website.
As far as I understand the Leonard Cohen Files website has been created and maintained by Jarkko (and later others, too many to list here) pro publico bono for 14 years (I still remember the early years, it was a pure bliss to be able to connect with other fans all around the world

).
I feel this website (and other similar, fans driven websites) should be kept from the backstage negotiations as much as possible, which means: concert dates are not posted here
UNLESS THEY ARE 100% CONFIRMED.

Hi,,,have just joined this forum and really have no idea how to use it!! However, I am hoping that someone will read my message and be able to help me! Have tickets gone on sale yet for Tel Aviv???? If not, then does anyone know when they are going on sale??
Thanks x
To Purple Princess:
This final decision of LC playing has been finalized only yesterday, under the sponsership of the Israel Discount Bank. They have not yet sold any tickets to anyone but I can tell you that if you are a client of that bank they will sell you tickets at a much cheaper price.

I removed two posts about boycotting Israel and petition against Mr. Cohen's show there.
Forum members *do* know that this is not the right topic for it - there's a long ongoing discussion on this here in Politics section of this Forum!

Exclusive: Leonard Cohen to perform in West Bank as well as Israel
By Avi Issacharoff, Haaretz Correspondent
International music legend Leonard Cohen will perform in the West Bank city of Ramallah two days after his upcoming performance in Israel, Haaretz has learned.
The concert in Ramallah is set to be held on September 26, in the Palestinian city's Cultural Palace; about 1,000 fans are expected to attend.
Cohen's decision came after pro-Palestinian activists attempted to dissuade the singer from performing in Israel.

Ha'aretz, a respectable Israeli paper, says Cohen will be coming as planned because a local bank (Discont Bank) will sponsor the concert. They say he has added a concert in Ramallah in the Palestinian authority on September 26th. As ever, a prince among us. I think I am going to cry.
I only see the Hebrew item so far.

Does anybody know what's going to happen with the good tickets?
A few weeks ago, when madona's tickets went on sale in israel, the fans that got there first found out that all really good tickets has already been sold in the internet.
I fear something like that will also happen with Cohen, aspecially as he will only preform once [in the limits of the green line, that is.. (: ] and has been anticipated for so long.
does anybody know if there's anything that true fans who aren't well connected can do?
