Hi Doug,

I commented on the link you gave us way back in March but just went through it again after Mary's comments. Wow!!! Once again a very large thank you! At the concert date nears it is SO helpful especially the maps! I had no idea (must not have paid attention last time  ) where the box-office and "will-call" was located. Now I have a perfect map! Also interesting to see where all the parking lots are located.

The dressing rooms are awesome! How cool to have red rocks right in your dressing room!

Jarkko...I do agree with Mary that it appears that there may be areas where Forum members could have a quick meet-up with a few band members. I know it's up to AEG and Leonard's management....and I know you have already contacted them (thank you SO much as always!)....but it would be so very very special at this perhaps final concert in the US.

Doug..hope to meet up with you at Red Rocks! Might you be able to do the venue lunch? If so, just leave a post and Roman will count you in.

All the best,
Diana

ps..Roman...I HAVE PM'D YOU!

Hi Doug!

We were on at the same time! Thanks for the weather update! I'm actually arriving in Colorado with a friend on this coming Friday and heading up to Estes Park...down to Golden for the concert, and then back up to Estes for another couple of days so we've been checking the forecast also. Sounds like typical mountain weather....possible t-storms but most of those seem to be during the warmth of the day. I predict the evening will be cool and clear with a million stars....and Leonard!

All the best,
Diana

ps..coming equipped with one of those cheap foldup ponchos...just in case my prediction is wrong :D 8) ;-)

Weather should be nice in the evening unless a front moves in. Check the weather web site closer to the 2nd for a more detailed forecast. The normal rains move out by 5pm if it rains at all. It will get chilly fast once the sun goes down and the benches (two 4X10s) get a lot harder after the first hour.
I’m looking forward to a cool (night, music, and people) in the most beautiful venue in the US.

Hi Arlene,

I know, I know....I live in hope too. One moment Jarkko sounds promising and the next, realistic. Leonard and the group will have a very strenuous summer. If they didn't have to do a 3 hour concert every couple of nights it would be a great holiday! Guess we will just have to "wait and be patient". Meantime, if people think it might be the last concert, perhaps they will buy my 2 extra tickets ;-)

Take care,
Diana

I got some great information that might be helpful on where to meet...

Holiday Bar downtown Morrison 1/4 mile from Red Rocks entrance...good local bar to hang out after the show

Vinny's Bar with outside patio and fireplace, a few doors down from Holiday Bar, maybe on the other side of street?...another good place to meet after the show

Tony Rigotonis Restaurant, attached to Vinny's bar good Italian food, maybe a good place to meet for lunch before the show, if the Ship Rock Grill does not work out...at least at Tony's we are not constrained by time, like the Ship Rock...probably less expensive too...seems like it would be nice to meet to eat before heading into the show

I got this info from a Morrison local...

Cheers! Hope that is helpful

Hi Denise,

The places you mention sound wonderful...and casual. Still waiting to hear from Roman about possibly lunch at Red Rocks but if he's otherwise tied up (this is possible) I think perhaps in the next day or two, one of us should make reservations for about 12-14 for lunch (if they will take reservations) at Rigatonis! Vinny's sounds like fun for after...especially the outdoor patio and fireplace, as long as it's not precipitating...which we won't even think about.

Thanks so much to your Morrison "connection"! Now, Roman, are you still there?? And once again Roman...check your pm's!

Not long now :D :D :D

Exactly one week from now the concert will be under way.

We will be there too and are so looking forward to hearing this music again in such a beautiful setting.

We are in the row 3, directly behind some of you. A belated thanks to Kelsey for mentioning that these great tickets were released!

Hope to meet some of you then,

M

Hi everyone –
Sorry for the long silence but I was sick (kind of flu – not “swine”) and I was completely out of order and out of mind at times. I am O.K. right now but another disaster struck, I was sent to Arizona to test some structures for corrosion (that’s what I do for a living) and I will spend this week in Tucson, AZ (very hot spot!!) but I should be back by Saturday and my presence in upcoming concert and meet-ups is rather safe.
I am in favor of the dinner the night before the concert, lunch/early dinner the day of the concert (Ship Rock Grille) or in Morrison (Tony Rigatoni’s) and party after the concert (Morrison- Vinny’s), so count me in for all of this.

Diana, sorry I am rather absent-minded, that’s my nature, and you are right, I did not check my pm’s (by the way - my cell phone is 720-235-9811). I think that you have the best ideas so let’s do it your way.

One more thing, the weather, yes the famous Colorado whether sucks lately and it might rain (I am not joking) on June 2nd (60% chance) so be prepared for that too.

See you soon in Colorado.

Welcome to the Forum and you most definitely are NOT speaking out of line! Your link to the restaurant was the first one I've seen and although it doesn't appear too large, the menu sounds great for pre-concert and not too expensive. I can understand the need for reservations well in advance! Within the next 3-4 weeks I think meet-up plans will all start to come together thanks to Greg from Australia who seems to be a master organizer :D , and thanks to Roman who lives in Denver and has provided us with lots of info :D .

Keep your eyes on this thread as it would be lovely to meet you at Red Rocks. There are lots of us coming from all over the country and in Greg's case, Australia, to let Leonard know how much we love him at his final US concert!

Good luck with a ticket. Have you attended any other LC concerts? If not , I would say make sure you do not miss this one! Each is an emotional experience you will never forget. You just need to scan through fans comments from previous concerts to realize how precious and exciting every moment is!

All the best,
Diana
I just got sniped on row 15 tickets on ebay; I'm still trying to get tickets.

As far as LC, I'm just now getting into him; I heard Steven Page's cover of "A Singer Must Die" and decided to explore further.

And Roman, where did you hear 60%? Ed Greene (channel 4) said 10% on the 10:00 news.

I just happen to have 2 extra tickets in Row 4 seats 91-92 (left side)!! I've scraped all the extra fees and am offering them at face value. 149.50 each - total 299.00. They are will-call tickets so we could do the exchange at the box office/will-call booth at Red Rocks! Interested?
Let me know. This could work out for both of us :D :D :D :D

I know mountain weather is very changeable and Tuesday is still a few days off, but will come equipped with a couple of cheap plastic ponchos just in case! If there are thunderboomers, they usually dissipate by early evening.

See you soon!

Here's a link to the map for directions to Tony Rigatonis Restaurant, and Vinneys Bar is connected to the restaurant, right next to it for after the show.
Looking forward to meeting you!
4:00 sounds like the perfect meetup time, plenty of time to meet and eat before heading in! I'm so happy and excited!

Tentative word out of the tour camp, the band will be able to meet with fans at Red Rocks. The band members can be found around the merchandise tables at the venue, weather permitting. My source will report more details if they become available.

Such GOOD good news... and, also, should the weather hold, my program won't take a flight in vain. Thanks, Marie 8) .

It would be grand if they tucked Fred beneath an arm for him to wave us goodbye before flying away to Europe.
