Oh Harriet... don't panic... I think 2 x 12,000 tickets means you'll be OK.... the fact that there's all this radio promotion & stuff going on means that the promoters aren't that confident that all the tickets will sell.... keep calm.... (I'm a fine one to talk, Im panicking like mad!! )

I've been a fan that long too Siobhain, only just after he played here last - bad timing or what, story of my life :)
Not being choosy now but I had always envisioned seeing him in a small, intimate, smokey venue somewhere - alas that won't be happening for me either, I just seriously it doesn't piss with rain on the day, i'll have to get my mum to put out that Child of Prague statue she used to put outside the evening before she wanted good weather for our communions/confirmations/weddings etc ;)

Hi Harriet,

For the last 20 years my only answer to the question "who would you do anything to see play live in concert?" has been Leonard Cohen. As the years went on I began to believe that it was never going to happen. The tour announcement has been a dream come true! Yes, it's not the best venue. Yes, the weather is a huge concern. Yes, he's 73 now and yes, the ever-expanding schedule will be demanding for anyone. The small, intimate venue will not happen but at this stage I DON'T CARE!!!! If/when I get tickets, there will be several child of Pragues fecked out the door - anything to make a slight improvement to circumstances!!!

LOL
I would sell my soul to the devil Siobhain, to see him, so i know where your coming from :)

Trying to find out if there is a Ticketmaster office in Limerick, whereabouts are you? I just don't trust this mobile broadband - if its a cloudy day i'm screwed - maybe i should put out that Child of Prague on Thursday night also, to ensure clear blue skies to at least allow me to get a signal and get online to purchase tickets .....

I'm in Swords, Co. Dublin, close to a Ticketmaster outlet. I'm thinking of dispatching the b/friend down to Ticketmaster while I hover over the computer! I'll have the phone on redial too just to cover all possibilities! I've even taken the day off work just to devote myself to this task!!!! Desperate or what!!!!!!?????

Well i've arranged hubby to take the kids to school so i can devote myself to the number 1 task of the day, not that i'd ever put anyone before my kids ..... but for Leonard, i'm afraid I have to :)

Hope everyone manages to have some sunshine in their day on Friday shortly after 9am ....
