Hi Margaret, it is a real pity your plane is landing late and you'll miss the meet-up Damellon is arranging. You are arranging something aren't you, Damellon ? Just state a venue. I just love meeting LC people and especially Irish ones, so I can't wait to meet you and Red Poppy. There are very likely to be other LC people around, Irish and otherwise, who might want to meet, too. The Tripod have no idea that Anjani is supposed to be playing on the 27th July!? How odd. Mind you, I know you do things differently over there with regard to logic. Can you ask them if Leonard is appearing with her?

Yes I think that song about leaving Mullingar is how I managed to link DA and the Fureys to the place. That'll do won't it? I did see them many moons ago in London, when I was sweet sixteen or not long thereafter. Now there are a few silver threads among the gold but what can you do?

I just watched Joe Dolan singing Make me an Island on youtube. It is the sort of thing I imagine being subjected to as a little old lady in a nursing home on a trip out for the evening. Oops I didn't mean to say that. Yes, he has a good voice. Are we seeing him then in Mullingar, Red Poppy, or do you just keep mentioning him because of your thing? I'm already waving my arms in the air, anyway. And now I have watched your link Damellon. Tom Jones eat your heart out.

I just called the whole thing off, due to lack of interest, but I'll see what I can do. Any others want to meet? What link do I have to Tom Jones? Is there any point in me pursuing Red Poppy do you think? or is this 'thing' with Joe Dolan just too much to overcome? Have you really forgiven him for the Limerick competition/no competition escapade? Think Byron said you were on the warpath. How can I ask the Tripod if Leonard is appearing with Anjani, when they don't know that Anjani's appearing? That defies even Irish logic. Will assail the Tripod again tomorrow for further info. Emailed today but no response.

Hi Damellon, I'll be in Dublin that day until I leave to meet Margaret's plane which is due to arrive at 10.30pm. Then we are heading for Mullingar. I would be delighted to meet with anyone up until that time. I was going to pm or email all those who might be around closer to the time to get phone numbers to arrange meet at the festival anyway. I won't try to get tickets for the Anjani gig unless LC is likely to be there, because we are seeing her the following day. The whole thing is very mysterious isn't it. Anyway, by that time I'll have spent five days on the west coast of Ireland, and I really won't mind what happens .

I think you should pursue whatever you want with great vigour! We will have to discuss Joe Dolan, Limericks etc when we meet. If I reveal my best limerick, Red Poppy might give in without a fight.

I have little time to write here at the moment, but I look forward to seeing you and the others.

Diane - an update - (though I'm having problems concentrating after reading Red Poppy's last message) - got speaking a few minutes ago to someone involved with booking the acts for the Tripod, and she said 'yes' to Anjani (tickets on sale next week) and 'no' to Leonard being with her.

Isn't LC in the studio right now? I doubt he'll be out till he is wrapped up.

Thanks everso for the update, Damellon! I'll stick with seeing Anjani in Mullingar, then. You may well be right, Caili, but if it turns out that LC is 'introducing' Anjani, I shall sit in a pub opposite the Tripod that night and write a tragic pome .

Well, I confess I barely knew a TING about this LC art exhibition, not having read much of the forum since I started a new job at the end of May, although Margaret did mention something about it the other day. And then I saw your post this morning, signed on and got a PM from Damellon offering me her spare ticket!!

I do like surprises. I hope I am not still asleep at this moment.

A note from Marie on Anjani's board informs that the Montreux gig (July 14) has been cancelled.
The Oslo gig on July 21 will be at JOHN DEE (moved from Rockefeller - which is still on her official site!)
