It's now Sunday morning. The VIP packages are over with....and we STILL have only one seat showing in the $250 range, on the Main Floor...FLR 3, Row 7, Seat 7. That is too strange!

Maybe it will be the ONLY seat in that price range offered at the public sale tomorrow!
Perhaps should play 377 in the Daily 3

If anyone is interested in the VIP packages it looks like that pre-sale ended at 8pm last night
and will reopen tomorrow at 10am. I can't take time off of work but will check daily to see if better
seats show up than did on the pre-sale fan club for the general public.
Interesting....at least we all have floor seats..those that bought already. (forever the optimist).

So true, Mutti, so true! I know I am thankful for my seat! If nothing opens up then I'm still ecstatic just to be there...but will keep checking (just in case

)....and then I would be more ecstatic!

Did anyone try the public sale this morning?? I didn't get to it on time...but just checked now and it is still that weird Floor 3, Row 7 seat being offered! That's for a single ticket. For 2 seats, best available, I pulled up Sect 116 Row 3, which actually doesn't look bad. "Emerald" VIP is apparently sold out. "Diamond" VIP brings up 2 seats on the coveted Floor 2, but in Row 4. I wish the VIP packages weren't a minimum of 2 tix!! It's probably for the best though... I'm fine with my presale seat, really I am.

I did have a look on the stroke of 6.00 my time (10.00 am PDT). Looking for one seat, I was offered Floor 3 row 20 first time in then Floor 1 row 6 seat 13. I'm guessing the seats were pretty well picked over in all the pre-sales.
I also had a look for a MSG ticket a few hours earlier. However, I have been spared the expense of booking another flight as the best on offer was half way back on the floor or way up on the sides. Just as well really as I was shocked how much prices have gone up when I tried to book our flights for November.

I went on at precisely 10:00 a.m. and got floor 1, row 6, seat 13. After that I got section 116 too. At a few minutes past 10:00 I checked both VIP categories and they were both sold out. I was able to request only one ticket (maybe that's why I didn't find anything).
Anyway, I am quite relieved that I din't find anything better than my pre-sale ticket(s) and have now resolved to stop obsessively checking. Time will tell....

I decided to take a look too...one never knows, but I'm staying with my original and just hope it's better placed than I think it is...FLR 1, Row 2, Seat 3. I did come up with FLR1, Row 3, Seat 14 which would be more centered but thought for the trouble involved of trying to resell my first seat, it wasn't really worth it. Now if the center section had appeared in the first 4 rows, that would have been different! One odd thing I noticed was that for about 5 minutes TM was offering the Emerald and Diamond VIP's for one seat only....then seconds later back to the 2-seat requirement!
Actually, I'm just happy to know I'll be there....especially with all the rest of you beautiful people!
Diana
ps..but that doesn't mean I won't start checking again in November....

I found the same as everyone is saying and then I found Section 1 Row 3 Seat 15 and 16
so I BOUGHT IT! Am I crazy of what! I think its near the center of edge of Row 1 of Section 2...
At least I am over with the some of you near the side of Dino and Javier...
So I am happy with them..
Now I have 2 tickets to sell Row 3 Section 3...but I am confident that will happen.
What a relief this is over for now..
I didn't see anything in Section 2 except row 11 and back...

So: it's my credit card statement date today and I can finally go ahead and book my flights for November safe in the knowledge that I will have another month to work out just how I am going clear my Amex bill.
Only to find that .... the flights have almost literally doubled in price in the last two days! I could almost have got a couple of LC VIP Travel Packages, goody bags included, for the amount I'm paying. Virgin assure me that the reason for this is demand - all the lower price seats on our flight out to Las Vegas on November 11 are already sold. In fact, they have sold so many that they cannot even allocate seats to us for the flight to LV as they can only pre-assign 60% of the seating stock on any single flight. 60% sold already, and with 3 months still to go???
Just how many people are flying out from London to Las Vegas on November 11 for the Leonard Cohen show?? The whole world has gone mad. At last - it's not just me!

Hi Wendy,
Working for an airline, even if it is in the operational end of it, that is correct about the 60%. Wow! November! This is statisically a low season for almost anywhere in America unless it's Thanksgiving and everyone is going home to Mom and Dad. Perhaps we should check out all the other LC fans in GB.....there may have been a run on tickets...not just for the concert, but also for Virgin's flight! I am truly amazed. I do have "buddy" fares on Delta (probably via JFK or DTW) which are much less...but standby. Don't think you want to try that. But, if you're interested it...go ahead and pm me. I can check out exactly what it would be, but sometimes it's higher than the lowest fare (not always)...but again, standby.

Well I have booked my ticket over from Sydney

I fly from Sydney to San Fran on Wed 11 and back on Wed 18. Very much looking forward to it now, I have never been to the States and can't think of a better reason than 2nd row seats at a LC concert, woo hoo!
At this stage I still have the two tickets:
Seat location: section FLR 1, row 2, seat 7
Seat location: section FLR 3, row 3, seat 5
And I will take the recommendation and sit next to Mary who I look forward to meeting! That was the one in section FLR 1, row 2, seat 7 I think.
At this stage the other ticket is up for grabs but I need to check something first but I think it is a pretty good seat if anyone might want an extra one?
I haven't sorted anywhere to stay but am happy in cheap and cheerful, I looked at one of the hotels mentioned in here and it looked pretty swish! Does anyone know what it is like at that time to just rock up at hostel type places? I need my own bedroom / bathroom but it does not have to be flash...
I will look around San Fran while I am there also .. .

Sorry I have seen the thread for San Jose hotels I shall look there.
I just had a look at the Las Vegas show and for single seat I could get into FORCH3, JJ, 306
This looks pretty good maybe I should see two shows
I saw mention that there is a flight from Vegas to San Jose. . .
