This is terrible. I just can't afford to go to Dublin again, and take more time off. I may send over a cardboard replica of myself.

I love the Irishness of the fact that the concert has been confirmed by Leonard's management and yet the building isn't finished.

Jacqueline I finally found Sean at the bar at the end of the Spain concert. Maybe he had been there throughout the gig and that's why there's been no report from him. Unless we hear to the contrary we will assume that was the case.

Hello Jacqueline and mischevious little Diane (Are you sure, Diane , you are not related to 'William's' uncle?)

Diane found me at the bar waiting for her because she could not find me right in front of the stage wearing red pants and an unusual hat.

If and when I, like Leonard, go back to Boogie Street, I will not be frequenting the bars, unless, again, Diane cannot find me in a more public place. She seems to have more luck finding people in bars.

We will have to pass the hat so Diane makes it to Dublin again! It seems sacreligious, the thought of Diane missing Leonard and her Irish crack because of a few bob!! ..... What say ye?

Sean

Hi Daka,
I'm sure you enjoyed the show.
On Monday night one of Jim White's songs had the line ' a bar is just a church serving beer'
I think we should all get more religious!
So many choices, all having special reasons; Berlin, Vienna,Cardiff, Dublin who knows where I should go,
and ' Who knows where the time (and money)goes?'

No way, I am responsible for my own over-spending on LC concerts, but thanks for the thought. Leonard will have seen quite enough of me by the end of this year.

Red pants? Really? Is that in Canadian? I am getting very confused by all these regional usages of clothing terms.

Where is your concert report in the Benicassim thread, Sean? And by the way muchas gracias again for the lifts to and from the station. It was very fortunate that there was one more train, even after the official last one. It seems we missed out big time in not seeing more of Enrique Morente, though.

Dave, come to Cardiff, please do. We can all forlornly sit in the bar at the end and sing Who Knows Where the Time (and money) Goes..."

I'm getting so confused - will he, won't he!
How can the promoters advertise that the concert is confirmed, and yet the venue know nothing about it.

I saw him in Dublin and without doubt the best concert I was ever at.
More of a spiritual experience - and I've been a fan since the early 70s.

Saw him in London in his previous tour but this was like a new man.
All that happiness and empathy oozing out of him - so calm and zen-like.

Now I'm really in a fix, cos I definitely want to see him again, but while I'm waiting for the Dublin tickets to materialise - I'm losing the chance of getting tickets for the UK venues!!!
Aaaagh!!! So frustrating!

Been reading this forum since the Dublin concerts and I just love it. Seems like a great comraderie going on - and the thread fromthe irish gig is bigger I think than any of the others!!! Guess the Irish still like to talk the most...

Anyway, just wanted to say Hi to all the Irish gang, and hope to be with you in Dublin - whenever...

Eileen

On a serious note - how can one group confirm something that the other group knows nothing about?
Like a plumber confirming he's fixing a leak in a house that hasn't been built. (See Famous Blue Raincoat for details)

PS CONGRATULATIONS TO DIANE. I see you won the Jim Reeves commemorative prize from his fan club. Well done - from 15,000 entries!
