Sisyphus has attained legendary status among rock critics, Chicago fans, those who've heard parts of it and those who have only read about it from liner notes by Bill DeYoung. Formed in its namesake city in 1967, Chicago is the first American band ever to propel albums into Billboard® s pop Top 40 for five consecutive decades, and is among the most successfully charting U.S.-grown acts of all time. Now, another page in the band's history is revealed with the long-awaited release of STONE Of SISYPHUS, the once shelved album that has attained legendary status among fans and critics alike. Recorded in 1993 and originally intended as Chicago XXII, the disc marked a return to the genre-transcending, adventurous fusion of sounds that defined the group's 1970s-era heyday. Three tracks from it surfaced on Rhino's 2003 Chicago box, but the album itself is previously unissued. Now, this momentous release also features four incredibly rare bonus tracks. Recorded in 1993 and previously unreleased. Legendary underground fan and critical favorite for fifteen years, produced by Peter Wolf. Features the album's original eleven tracks plus four bonus rarities. Highlights include the title track, All The Years, and Mah-Jong. Bigger Than Elvis, features contributions from musicians who worked with Elvis Presley including Jerry Scheff on bass (father of Chicago bassist Jason Scheff) and The Jordanaires (the gospel group that often accompanied Presley) on backing vocals.

Also like gregor samsa, great name for a band.

hey blonde madonna. frere de song is a teacher in germany who makes music with his free time. he has a single on k and f records but besides that he releases all of his music on his own. he's one of the nicest guys i've ever talked to. you can go here to download some of his music:
http://www.myspace.com/gehoertraining
you'll have to scroll down under where the videos are at...

the frere doesn't have his own myspace music page. gehoertraining is a handful of friends who help eachother get their music out. if you look in the music player near the top of the page that's me covering his song, "in my room". i can't sing. his newer stuff is better to me. if you want...just private message me your email addy and i'll be more than happy to share more of his music with you.

and here is gregor samsa's myspace:
http://www.myspace.com/gregorsamsamyspace

not sure if you meant you liked the album or just the name. (the name is cool...) if you scroll a quarter of the way down the page you'll see an itunes player where you can hear the whole album for free.

hope you find more stuff to like in these places.

On my Mp3 I'm currently listening to the song "Trouser Freak" by The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, just to change to Bruce Springsteen - Kitty's back. Think I'll stay with Bruce for awhile´.

I recently discovered Robert Crumb & His Cheap Suit Seranders and cannot stop listening to the three albums they recorded in the mid '70s - very similar to Leon Redbone's early albums.

Yes, this is the same Robert Crumb who created Fritz the Cat.

Fantabulousl! :D

If it is not Leonard, it is either Jacques Brel or - more recently - Jean Ferrat, both in French!
