clionamhic wrote:Excuse me if the information has already been posted, but is there a tree planting today? I'm in Sligo and would love to be there. I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it......
Thanks
As far as I heard the tree planting is tomorrow...which hopefully is much drier! Noticed we don't have info yet on the time but I think carlowmike will post that as soon as he is advised.

Thanks Ladydi, I got ahead of myself a bit there, didn't I? Is everyone still going for dinner in the Garavogue tonight? If so I hope to see you there.

Weather up here now is a big change from yesterday,
raining a bit heavy and cool breeze,
The ground will be real muddy tomorrow,
and will be worse following tonight's concert - so be advised.
Parking in fields will also present a problem with soft ground
.
Mick is gone off find out about the Tree planting, will let you all know later.

There is a German proverb which says that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! I'm still optimistic that tomorrow and Sunday will be rain-free for the concert.

Anyone see the photos of the seating? I'm still trying to figure out the Block A/Y/X, as there just seem to be three evenly apportioned seat blocks. My tickets are 32-35 (original Block A) so I'm worried about being separated from my partner by one of the aisles. guess I'll know soon enough

I got an email from pod stating Block A & X/Y are all different. I've seen that map and am wondering have they got rid of X/Y???
At Lissadell now and the weather is ok. Cloudy but the sun is showing its head too.

I took a walk down to the beach at Lissadell last night and walked around some of the grounds and from what we could see it looked great. They have stuff laid down on the grass so whatever about mud in the car parks there is none at the venue itself. We couldn't see the actual stage or seats due to a misplaced hill

but we could see the house and there was different coloured lights being projected onto it and it looked cool. I tried taking photgraphs but don't think they will come out as it was from a good distance and it was dark by the time we walked up that close. Only one shower of rain and only a few midges around! We walked down to the beach through the woods and then sat on a bench and listened to Westlife with a few beers watching the sunset. If there had being better music it would have being idyllic

On the subject of Westlife the amount of covers was unreal and I don't mean the ones they have recorded and put on CD's. At one stage they sang 5 "non Westlife already covered songs" covers in a row!!!!! These included Black Eyed Peas Tonights Gonna Be...., Sex on Fire some Beyonce song, Thin Lizzy The Boys are back in Town. I can't remember what the 5th one was but my friend was doing a better job at counting than I was

I turned to my friend at one stage and said if they attempted to murder any of Leonards song I was going to climb through the woods into the backstage area and drag them off stage but thankfully they left our mans songs alone

The only credit I'll give them is their fans seemed to really enjoy it as the cheers after each song were louder than the music and I did enjoy hearing Flying Without Wings as I sat on a wall watching the small waves lapping the the beach. It made me think though if only Westlife had moved on from that one great song which wasn't a cover and went in that direction I'd have alot more respect for them.

The Tree-planting will take place today at noon, the meeting place is at Shenanigans, near to where the ceremony will take place.
Leonard's team are working on having a representative perform the planting.
Latest communication from them say they will do their best.
All are welcome to attend.
Misty up here this morning. The ground at Lissadell is soft and mucky in places, so be ready for the worst and hope for better
