It might not be that bad as the concert times vary . Just park up somewhere and public transport might be your best bet then .
Im sure that you will get lots of advice here :)

we are going to stay the night in parnell square so that part doesn't matter but it's getting past croke park i am worried about, coming from the north is there a better way into the city than to go past croke park?

If you go The Cavan- Navan Road. You will be avoiding Croke park.
Maybe some of the Dublin members can give directions into the city from that end.

I'd suggest you stick to the main road through Drumcondra - it's the most straightforward. If you get to Dublin by or before 5pm you should be ahead of the Neil Diamond crowd.

Confetti,
would you not be safer staying in a B & B than in Parnell Square, or indeed you could stay in Heuston Station if the outdoors is your thing - it's as great place for sleepers.

And I'll be word perfect ;

Go to sleep you weary hobo
Let the towns drift slowly by
Can't you hear the steel rail humming
That's a hobo's lullaby

Do not think about tomorrow
Let tomorrow come and go
Tonight you're in a nice warm boxcar
Safe from all the wind and snow

I know the police cause you trouble
They cause trouble everywhere
But when you die and go to heaven
You won't find no policemen there

I know your clothes are torn and ragged
And your hair is turning grey
Lift your head and smile at trouble
You'll find happiness some day

So go to sleep you weary hobo
Let the towns drift slowly by
Don't you feel the steel rail humming
That's a hobo's lullaby

Had the pleasure of hearing Pete Seeger sing it once. Great stuff.

Well that is certainly a trip down memory lane to see the words there. Thank you . I heard Arlo Gutherie sing that song in Shinrone rugby many years ago. If I am not mistaken it was written by his Dad ? Pete and Arlo worked together and were both critical of the establishment and I think that Pete uses Arlo's record label .
