Hi Tinderella
Glad to say everything went well with Jeans operation and she is now sat with her foot up ( the other one she is using to boot me into the kitchen to make her cups of tea and plates of nosh etc ,etc, etc .)
Now for Jean it is just a matter of time , rest and then physiotherapy . For me I am going straight to the therapy !
I was wondering who "covey " was but now we know

phil.....thanks for the update...please pass on my best wishes to jean.....looks like a lot of tender lovin' care is a-comin' her way over the next few weeks.....

....on a more personal note....do you remember the promise you made to me when we discovered that we will both flying to krakow from liverpool on the same flight in august?......you most definitely promised me that jean would be available to carry my luggage as well as yours from the airport to the hotel when we arrived in krakow.......in view of jean's present situation does this still stand or should i make alternative arrangements?....ta ken

Ken
Alternative arrangements will not be neccessary . If you just let me know the weight of your luggage and approximate walking distance I can arrange some practice sessions for Jean to hop on the good leg to strengthen it in time for August just to be on the safe side . A canny yorkshire always thinks out of the box !

If you mean do I just have one brother then the answer is yes but if as I suspect you mean do I have a brother who is unattached then unfortunately the answer is no !
As to being the perfect husband I will PM you a poem I wrote last year that is semi autobiographical and then you might think differently

Whatever Jean requests in her hour of need, I know that you'll sing over and again, I'm Your Man: I'll do anything you ask me to. Don't let me keep you from getting back to things. I hope for your sake she doesn't request crab for dinner.

All the best to the both of you and the rest of your fine fortunate funny family, Phil.

No Diane it's not "I 'm your man " but a version of "Ain't no cure for love"

I've loved you for a long long time
I know this love is real
It dont matter that your foot went wrong
That dont change the way I feel
I can't believe that time won't heal
This wound I'm speaking of
There is a cure there is a cure there is a cure called love

Your toe is aching baby
I can't pretend it's not
I'd like to see it naked
To tell you what I thought
But you've got this funny habit
And you keep it covered up
There is a cure there is a cure there is a cure called love

All the rotten pain that's in your mind
The doctors working day and night
And their gonna gonna find
A cure my love

I see you in a bandage, I see you with a crutch
I see you lying down a lot I dont like it very much
I hold your hand I stroke your hair
But your foot I cannot touch
So I call to you I call to you
Is your pillow soft enough
There is a cure there is a cure there is a cure called love

Imprisoned in this living room no place else to go
When the sweetest voice I ever heard "whispered watch my toe"
I need to help this lady for loving me so much
There is a cure there is a cure there is a cure called love
