Tom, how nice picture, I hope Diane will appreciate. But it is not this one. It is one I did bring here once. I asked her to ask you when she first asked me because I lost it, I don't know if she did, it was a few weeks ago. It is suppose to be somewhere in this forum, but I can't find it.

There are many pictures of Leonard sitting like this (there are two more on Speaking Cohen archive), but I guess you think on the "real" zazen picture (Zen monk robes, closed eyes, hands in the position of "om"). That image is seen much in Spring 96 documentary, but I also remember the picture, but can't recall where from. I think there are few on the last pages of In His Own Words.

Thank you, Adam. I really think the life is better achievement if you have strenght to look the life and world in that way (your way), than let yourself to start believe we're not everyday heroes.

Adam, I can see you point and agree with you that everyone should dance to the beat of their own drum (one of my favorite lines), but I also agree with Lizzy and Judith. People who have achieved a certain level of mastery in their fields are offering their gifts to everyone else. We can chose to accept their gifts or turn them down. The greatest gift that one person can give to another is to teach them something meaningful. By accepting the gift, we don’t have to subsume ourselves. We can use what we have learned from them to create our own gifts and pass them on. Passing on a gift is the greatest compliment one can give to the original giver. A continuous circle of creating beauty in life.

Just by writing about this issue your gift has been to remind us to be ourselves.
