Dear Leonard,
Your words and music have reached deeply into my life over the years. Your voice has brought me through some of life's most challenging times, and I am deeply grateful.
This Spring, a chance aquaintance and I discovered a connection in our mutual love of your work. He has taken the trouble from my eyes, and made my heart sing again.
Because of your work, we have found our soulmates! We are making plans to see you -- another dream come true.
Thank you Leonard, and many blessings on your birthday.

LC,
It's so strange but here again, you're 71 and hanging on, and your will to live and devotion to your work and your music continue to inspire me. I'm in the middle of another horrible divorce, I'm broke and broken, and have moments of utter despair...but...you are always there and damn, you still have more problems than I do. Can't top you! You will always make me feel like living and surviving and loving. If only because, even if the feet go, you'll do something creative in stumps. I'm just a bit wobbly without my Manolo pumps.
You're My Man! Always. Happy Birthday.
