I don't think there is much danger of us losing our sharp edges Kush :)
or even getting that polished we think alike. A little polish job never hurt anyone though. If the polishing is with good intentions.

Dear Paula,
I haven't a clue about the thread of this string, not having read the previous eight pages, but I did read your post.
Your references to tuppence, ha'pennies and farthings recalled a world into which I was born. To date, I've not employed them in my writing, though at some point in the future, maybe.
For now, they remain in my mental vocabulary book. For that, many thanks!
Yours, Andrew.

Paula - I apologise profusely for not responding to your post last year - I've only just noticed it and I now understand your previous harangue about my not responding to you.

"Nice" I define as someone who doesn't bully and pick incessantly on one person - as has happened in this forum and in the chatroom to Lizzy. My definiton of "interesting" would differ from yours I'm sure - but from what I've seen of your posts - not too much - and "funny" I'm sure we all agree on.

However, the operative word was most. I've found that many of the chatroom and forum inhabitants meet all those criteria but I've also found that there are really boring LC fans as well as those (fortunately not too many) who don't recognise a joke when it bops them on the nose, which brings us to the tongue-in-cheek bit, which I have to admit had me in gales of laughter. If you're under the impression that I don't understand tongue-in-cheek, then I'm wasting my time and don't expect any more responses from me - there are plenty others on this forum you could, with far more validity, direct that remark to. Just read the threads (as I'm sure you've done) and you'll see exactly what I mean.

And yes - some of the "personal" comments have had me also rolling on the floor - but I didn't then and don't now find the vicious comments regarding Lizzy at all endearing or amusing.

Thank you for letting me have my farthings worth - I think by now I've more likely had my pounds worth - and again I apologise for being so horribly late but I'm sure you'll find it in your heart to forgive a vapid blond whose mind isn't always where it should be.
