"Hello Stranger" is the updated, newest, koolest version ~ it seems for some reason that it also has a blush of romantic implication to it [of course, not as I used it here !] ~ someone you haven't seen for a long time, but are very obviously glad to, but keeping it on the more playful, kool side .

As far as I'm aware, there has been no direct reply to your post: what a shame!
It's so simple: in 30 years time, Leonard will/would be 100, a square number. The prior square to 100 is 81, so in 30 years time Pete will be 81.
Ergo, he is 51.
On the other hand, and on the other side, the square next to 100 is 121, meaning that in 30 years time Pete would be 121, i.e. he is 81 years old at present.
I know that Pete comes across as a well-informed chap: if you're 81, take that as a compliment

Yes, I've seen Pete "in the cold light of day". Stick a guitar in his hands and he comes across all intense,focussed and Cohenesque. Almost impressive, actually!

Mercedes is also a very expensive car here. Jemima here rings of Aunt Jemima pancakes and syrup. Her [Aunt Jemima's] image on the food items is a very happy, rotund, black woman.....and, I think, she's wearing a gingham [red and white?] apron, and maybe a white, cotton[?] scarf on her head. Not sure on those details. At any rate, her name has a nourishing [reminiscent of the black nannies from years back] and 'comfort food' effect. Eighteen, eh? That's great !
