The thread is not established yet ...and I am unsure how to move Posts !...
not sure what I done but
I opened a link to "Ireland -Leonard Cohen Event 2014" it appears under Krakow !,
maybe it is too early to be posting this Event...
During the week I will ask Jarrko to advise me on this matter,
Regarding earlier comment from yourgoodself.
I will be seeking your advice regarding how best to deal with the midges during the concert ...
I do not want to think of someone (or many ) sitting near me spraying some dangerous chemicals from an aerosal can , chasing bunches of midges around the place.....
I read somewhere that a feed of raw Garlic will keep midges at bay ....
of course a "net-curtain" over one's head might do the trick but might scare the hell out of Leonard

That's interesting, as the rumours early on were that LC, Westlife, Y. Islam and a fourth unknown would be involved, half of which has come true. I'll be surprised if they don't rustle up someone for the holiday Monday!
Didn't see your wasp avatar; it's a wonder you haven't found a bouncing midge ! ( would have to be highly magnified, of course, as the much maligned creatures are so tiny we couldn't see it otherwise ! )

Joe Way started a thread about the location of the 2012 event in the News section. Maybe that would be a better place to ask for thoughts about holding the 2014 event in Ireland? It will only get bogged down in the 5,000 threads about the Sligo concert and the events are something quite different. BTW, I thought they were organised by the fans for the fans, nothing to do with "Leonard's people".

I agree, Wendy. The key word in this thread is SLIGO, and 2014 is way off in The Future...

Well (as I've posted elsewhere, previously, before everything went a bit mad), my mate's brother is in Yussuf's band, and he knows nothing about a date at Lissadel....

Just for you, I'll put the wasp back ;-)

Incidentally, his "take" on the Dublin show, is being on stage, but playing behind some sort of gauze curtain, when a shout rang out "Give us Peace Train yer bloody bollix".... ah, the Dublin audiences...

Thanks Alan - Your wasp is cute ! if I were Yussuf Islam I wouldn't dream of going near Ireland again, after the reception he received in the O2. But there is the old saying in Ireland, "He who pays the piper calls the tune ". True. Our Leonard doesn't have that problem, anyway - he always pleases his audience. That's why we can't get enough....

Here's that wasp again.....

Anyone know for sure what time the concert starts on 31 July.... I have my tickets :D & see gates opening at 4.00, but I seem to recall reading that the show is at either 7.30 or 8.00.... does anyone know for sure? Want to make certain I have plenty of time for my champagne picnic ;-)

Has anyone who purchased pre-sale tickets received them from Ticketmaster yet?
I wish I could show her what such hair and haunches do for one like me.

Oh yes... mine arrived about a week ago.... :D

.. although I'm in Ireland (don't know if that makes a difference... :? )

My experience is that they always arrive... sometimes sooner, sometimes later.... I wouldn't start worrying just yet... ;-)

Real-alan says:

You've done well to get them so soon; don't know what system they use - can't be Ireland first because some people in the UK have got theirs, so maybe it's alphabetical. But it's good to see them listed on "My account", labelled "Not yet despatched", so it's only a matter of time....Speaking of which, I think 7 was given as the starting time somewhere, thought it was on the POD site, but can't see it there now. Won't be as late as 8, anyway, since it will probably take HOURS to get everyone out of Lissadell after the concert!
Edit: Just checked Ticketmaster again now, and the message has changed to "Your tickets are in the process of being printed ". :D
