Oh Diana, wow, that's a great seat. I thought I did well with my row D!! Thrilled for you. This is going to be like Las Vegas and San Jose
without the flight!

From OceanFM.ie -

Second date for Leonard Cohen at Lissadell
An extra date has been added for Leonard Cohen to appear at Sligo’s Lissadell House after tickets for the first one sold out in just six minutes this morning.
The Canadian musician will now play both July 31st and August 1st in his only Irish appearance this year.
10,000 people are expected to descend on Lissadell each night for the all seated event, the first concert ever to be held on the grounds of the estate.
It’s hoped the influx of music-lovers will provide a tourism boost for Sligo and nearby South Donegal.
Lindsey Holmes from Lindsey Holmes Publicity said the extra date gives disappointed fans another chance.

Ha, ha, Marie. Yes, it´s going to be another LV/SJ. More then that. I booked tickets for Saturday and Sunday /not the best but what the hell../ and now I hope I´ll get there. What is the best way from Dublin /I don´t drive/, by train? And some advice on accommodation?
Diana, are you going to Salzburg as well? I am going! I have to compose myself a little bit.

Hi Vlasta! How wonderful

I didn't think it could get any better and it just did knowing that you're coming!!
I'll pm you too. I
may have to give up on Salzburg, although I can't imagine even thinking that, but the dollars are adding up!

"They" may be in trouble if this becomes an Irish repeat of LV/SJ

Great news re 2nd concert, I've just got a ticket in block B. If anyone is having difficulties concluding a purchase I suggest using I Explorer. Firefox will let you go up to 'Verify' and then ...blank screen. I nearly flogged my poor old pc to within an inch of its life in the presale 'till I copped on.

If you look at my previous posts here you'll see that despite difficulties in ticketmaster visa verification I got 2 tickets in the Presale for the Sat night Block B Row R . Then when i had worked out that the system was somewhat of a lottery regarding seat allocation I went back in and got 2 in Block A row M. This means i have the 2 spare Block B tickets. I will NOT be putting them on Ebay or selling them to someone who won't appreciate them so if anyone here on the forum i.e. a proper LC fan wants them i'll offer them at the price i paid for them (£242) plus the cost of recorded delivery postage once i receive them of course!!. According to others on this site they should be centre of row straight in front of' Your Man!'
Order for: Jxxxxxx Cxxxxx
Seat location: section BLOCKB, row R, seats 50-51
Total Charge: €242.70
I would have so loved to have got tickets for the Sunday night too but since i've ones for Grenoble as well as my current 4 i could not justify the cost! Well done to all those who have now been able to get a ticket for the Sunday night!! July can't come soon enough!!

Tried to book tickets this morning for friends but with no success. Gave up, then I read your message about the Sunday concert, tried again, and lo and behold, I have two Block A, Row B tickets!!! Whoopee do! Now my only dilemma is... do I let my friends have the Saturday night tickets.. or do I pretend I couldn't get them any and just go to both concerts??? What do I value more - friends? - Leonard Cohen? Who has been my constant companion over 30 years, always been there in good times and bad... yea, it's easy isn't it? ... Leonard.
I live just 20 miles from Lissadell and I cannot believe Leonard is coming here. Sligo is so beautiful - as is Donegal and Fermanagh, where I live. Anyone having bother getting accommodation, do remember that you can also look in Fermanagh and Donegal - neither are a great distance away. But I can promise you all this - you are in for a magical treat in Sligo - landscape, Yeats, Lissadell, Cohen, I can't think of a better mix. Now where might Leonard be likely to show up over the weekend? Do you think if I draped myself over Yeats's grave for the entire weekend, there might be a chance of meeting the great man?
Dear friends, do not forget 'Lovely Leitrim'. Why not visit the beautiful town of Carrick on Shannon (ok I'm biased, I live here) which is only 40 miles from Lissadel. Indeed any of you coming from the Dublin direction on the N4 will pass through here. Carrick is one of 2 Irish towns representing Ireland in the Entente Florale Europe Competition and should look fantastic around concert time!!!!There are 12 European countries taking part - maybe we're in competition with some of you
We also have what's reputed to be the second smallest Chapel in the world, the Costello Memorial Chapel.

All you non-Irish are very welcome to our little country! I know that Leonard will help us forget our troubles for three hours at least.
Can't wait for July - hope you all have a lovely experience here and thanks again to Jarkko for making the pre-sale happen!

My wife telephoned at work at 9.20 a.m to say she had just seen that there was to be a second show on Sunday. We briefly discussed whether we could justify the cost of another concert. As we are booked in to our hotel for Sunday night anyway, could we really have stayed in Sligo, knowing that Leonard was playing and not be there? Lets face it who needs savings, food or clothing (apart from official merchandise of course). And we could always sell unnecessary internal organs. Well we managed to secure Sunday night tickets in Block A row G, (we have Block B row AA for Saturday) so delighted.
See you all there.
By the way, is anyone in the market for a new kidney?
Regards,
Scott & Helen

Too true, oh how I agree. I bought block A tickets for Saturday, booked accommodation and then came home from work today to realize there was a Sunday concert. After countless searches i got tickets in block c, row Q and just had to buy them. Roll on July

Of course, I also recommend Leitrim - how could I forget about Leitrim! - we should be on the payroll of Bord Failte

Great idea to meet up somewhere after the concert. The Raddisson is a bit out of the way for most I suspect. Can I suggest that we meet up back in Sligo town perhaps the Garavogue or somewhere town central. Open to suggestions from our Sligo based friends!
... anywhere in Sligo will be great.. the Garavogue will be hopping, Mc Hugh's will be rockin and "Shoot the Crows" is a must.. oh and don't forget Hargadons.. Kennedy's is also a fabulous pub.. start to link up with any of them on Facebook for more information..
Sligo is absolutely amazing.. it has "everything", All are so welcome.. we locals want you to have a brilliant time.....
