Margret, You need video capture software for that. Or, film your computer monitor then burn it to disc.

NO idea when I'll actually get to hear this, Thelma... but I've watched some of the footage from both sections, and you did a really EXCELLENT job of filming it! Thanks!

I am just SO happy for Zack, I can hardly see straight :D !

Hi Zack, great show, congratulations. I am glad we had you in Berlin. Watching this NY stream, I wished you'd had a yellow guitar. But that's just a note from someone like me who can't concentrate on the essentials. Isabelle's voice fitted in well. Can you repeat that show on Hydra this year ?

they call me mellow yellow (quite rightly)

One might argue that those who can't concentrate on the essentials make the best artists, Henning.

I suppose this logically fits in the "other music" category, but since Zachary's cd "Athletes of Romance" has been mentioned here, I'm staying here with my comments...

I ordered Zachary's cd from cdbaby.com after listening to his beautiful tribute performance of Leonard's songs. "Athletes of Romance" is lyrically charming, funny and profound. You already know the guy can sing and play guitar. He can write songs and music with the best of them, too. I highly recommend it. The liner notes are like a handful of poems. Much to love.

So impressed was I 8) that I ordered another copy to donate to my local public radio station. This cd really deserves to be heard.

Thanks Zach!

regards,
Laurie in Alaska

Laurie,

I'm sure you would also enjoy Zack's earlier cd Songs of Straw and Gold. I got this from him after meeting him in New York where he impressed so many of us.

Thanks Margaret~ You know, I don't think Straw and Gold came up when I searched Oberzan at cdbaby. I'll have a look around and order from where I can find it. Thanks for the referral 8)

One of our radio stations also broadcasts in Alaska. It's a Pacifica station, very progressive. I forgot all the call letters. I wondered if that were the station. Kissielof ? Is that the town?

Oh! I see, lightning.

Here in Juneau our public radio station is KTOO http://www.ktoo.org It just so happens, that tomorrow at 5pm, they are launching two more stations, giving us much more variety (obviously). Of course we also have commercial radio stations here too.

There is a town in Alaska called: Kasilof (cass-seal-off). Is that what you are thinking?

I had to google Pacifica radio... Sooo, the community (Kasilof) pays to receive broadcasts from Pacifica, much like cable tv?
The programming, at a glance, reminded me of what get get here on public radio called "alternative radio" which is an hour long broadcast of lectures given by very progressive thinkers. Usually very interesting, although sometimes it leaves me feeling a bit hopeless about somethings being 'fixable' (or not).
