Once again Leonard delivered!! What a magical night!! Yes it was freezing. I had a light coat on and NO sweater. That won't happen on Saturday night! I totally agree with others who say its just not on to have an outdoor concert at this time of year. Leaonard made his view on that very clear very early on!!
I just wanna know does anyone else miss Dino Soldo? I liked Alex and his violin but this punter really missed the brilliance of Dino. Anyone with me???????????????

Yes, it was definitely ditties. And it annoyed me that both the Irish Times and the Irish Independent got it wrong.

But that and maybe the cold are the only complaints about what was a magical event. It was just one constant highlight after another.

Bird Off The Wire, yes I am a Springseen fan but didn't know that.

On the Tom Joad solo acoustic tour he usually commenced the concerts by advising audience that it would be a quiet show and if people were being noisy he encouraged their 'neighbours' to tell them to STFU.

How I enjoy reading all these reviews and seeing all the photos (Eva, you lucky girl, yours were excellent!)of this concert - thank you all and a very special thank you for your fantastic review, burning violin - I wanted it to go on and on and on.

Last night (Wed 12th) was spectacular. It was my third time seeing him. A very cold night in Dublin, but if you wrap up VERY warm, you'll be ok. Was a real treat to hear some of the new songs.

Last nights' show was absolutely superb.

It was chilly and I can only reiterate that it is better to err on the side of too many clothes.

Night 1 good. Night 2 off the charts. Different league...truly special.

What a jewel Kilmainham is, I 'm hoping to get to the next concerts earlier to see more of the gardens but even leaving it in darkness the beauty of the building shone through.
I was accompanied by a person with a severe disability and finding the access to the disabled carpark was nightmarish. In normal circumstances you could drive around and locate it but the traffic was so heavy and we had to give up and walk from St James Hospital in the end. Why could there not be signposts directing you to the carpark?There's real issues with trying to get a person with limited mobility to cover so much ground.
Merchandise at the event was great and I'm so pleased with my screen printed poster. Full marks to the staff on these stands, they were doing a great job with charming banter and were so pleasant.
Others have covered the issue with people arriving late, causing disruption etc and it's a real shame for everyone.
I've taken some photos with my camera which Eventsec tell me was too large and too professional looking so hope to post those later. For anyone who does have issues about photography, stay firm and argue your case. A 24-70mm lens is not long and supervisors should have more to do with their time than to watch how i use my "large " camera.
Could the entrance area to the toilets not be enlarged, this was one of the main causes of the delays.
On a serious note, I do hope the person who collapsed during the interval is alright and full marks to the stewards for how they handled this.
I'm back Friday night and Saturday night and can't wait.

I was at Leonard in Kilmainham in 2008 but I don't know the area very well.
Back then I remember walking past Hueston Station, past the taxi rank, straight on for a little while - then we crossed the road and turned up to the left. About 5 mins up this road was a large gated entrance where we went in for the concert.
From there we had an uphill stroll, an amble through a courtyard and then we arrived at the concert area ( oh such happy memories )
Is that entrance in use this time ? ( please say yes )
If not, can someone give me directions on where I must go....

Two nights with Leonard and the second night blew me away.
Maybe cos the President of Ireland was sitting a few rows in front of me... there were no stragglers walking around. The audience were great. Leonard was in fantastic form. jumping onto the stage and singing from the heart.

He said at one point...' i hope you are warm... but you were warm when you got here, if you were any warmer... you would be the Tropics '

Beautiful way to spend an evening and not a drop of rain fell. Brought my daughter to see him, she thought he was fantastic, and we both got to the front of the stage for the encores. The security man tried to stop me but I said to him, I don't want to see the President, I just want to see Leonard ... It worked. A few feet away for Marianne, First we take Manhattan , Famous Blue Raincoat and Closing time....

Yes Joan, that is the way you walk again..its not too bad, about ten mins to the venue. and its very nice indeed when you get there, no mud as we had no rain, good food and drinks etc... YOu will have a wonderful time... the concert ends around eleven, so if you need to go back to the city, you can get the luas by the train station.
