you can take tickets for mezzanine, they're as good as floor-tickets, because they're only about 20 rows away from stage, and the sound there is the best you can get : that's the place where sound&light controllers are sitting, too (gives you a chance to see some very important people, who make sure you have the best concert-experience you can get, plus that's where beautiful lorca c. started taking a lot of concert-photos). if you can get seats near the front of the mezzanine, you have a free view at the stage, and LC can see you, too. but perhaps you will keep your eyes closed, for most of the time, because when you open your eyes, sometimes tears of pure joy roll out, and that troubles your sight too.
anyway, if you can go to paris, go, by all means, the place is really magic when mr.cohen is there.
i'll be there, just below the first seats of the balcon, place where the wheeled people are parked. first rows of the balcon are great, too, and a little less expensive.
see you,
pe
this link gives you some idea about the place, but it's not as big, as they want you to think : just count the rows, untill you come under the bacony, and you'll find it's like an old-fashioned cinema, a bit worn-out, but with a very warm feeling.

I note that the ticketmaster.ie site says FanClub presales are on 29th March ... what Fan Club does this refer to / how do you join / how do you access fanclub presales ... any guidance would be very welcome.
Thanks

But at least Paris and Dublin are staggered in time for presale. it says 9 local time. Dublin is one hour after. (paris and Gothenburg the same).

This refers to us, to our presales!

To be clear at the outset my experience of 2008 in Kilmainham ranks right up there - concerts that were as good as it gets. And I live in hope of a repeat.
I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm, but a word of warning for anyone thinking of travelling to the Dublin concerts - there could be a world of difference between 2008's midsumer evenings (the concerts were in mid June) and the 2012 mid September climate. I can't say it won't be a balmy Indian Summer evening on 11/12 Sept, but the chances are against it. Frankly it could be downright miserable. I know there will be more atmosphere because of the earlier sundown (assuming an 8.00pm start most of the concert will be in dusk/dark) but please factor it in. Again, I don't want to discourage anyone, and I will probably attend, just bear it in mind please. And if you do decide to come along, come with your thermals/woolens, a set of hand warmers and a naggin of good Irish Whiskey. Or don't bother with the hand warmers and bring two naggins !
And anyway, if nobody comes from overseas there will be less pressure for tickets.....

Aw FanForLife, I hope that was said in jest
I look forward to welcoming fellow fans from far and wide.
Of course we can't guarantee good weather, after all it's an outdoor venue. But I enjoyed the best concert ever in Kilmainham in 2008. Yes it rained........did it matter? Not in the slightest!

Absolutely, the more the merrier - and the more the magic. Some years ago when he came to the O2 and I was way up at the back, watching a tiny dot on stage (my first ever Cohen concert) I wondered where did all these people come from and I think I even resented this new found admiration for him. Of course it was after everyone was talking about the spiritual experience that was Kilmainham that I wasn't able to go to. Indeed, for years in my teens, through the 70's, 80's, 90's and noughties, my fanatical delight in his words, his music and his voice was considered or judged as 'depressive' and having 'razor-blade' tastes by the philistines in my circle.
But even his loss - with that manager, was it Kelly? - has been all our gain, and even resulted in a new least of creative life for him! So, I'm thankful that he has enriched my secret and public life - and while I didn't think I'd hear him live again after Sligo, I am so grateful that he's continuing to bless!!
